Hi i am having trouble with these two things. I can get it working the McBoot but when i load up the opl the game list isnt there i even retryed the memory card sd as fat 32 just to make sure and nothing. I even downloaded the 1927 thing to help out. I have these two for hellp imgur.com/a/IQmaCgp . Sorry I couldnt figure out how to post an actual image. I hope someone can help me with this. As I've been trying to get this to work for awhile and getting annoyed with it

Just gonna repost that picture from the Imgur URL that didn't get linked....

thank u so much i honestly dont know how to do that so figured that be the best way for someone t help me with my problem

OPL supports only MBR partition table. So if You chose GPT, OPL will not see anything. exFAT filesystem is supported in 1.2.0 beta, older will see only FAT32.

MX4SIO not support all microSDHC cards.

Hello! Could anyone help me please? Every game I tried with my mx4sio adapter freezes at some point. Some games like Silent Hill 3 play for a bit, the others like Spy fiction freeze right after I hit start on title screen. What can it be? I use mx4sio adapter by bitfunx, 64 mb clone mc with fortuna+ latest OPL 1.2.0, microdrive SD card, my PS2 is 90008 PAL.

Edit. I tried OPL Modes, Mode 1 - accurate reading - gives me a few more minutes of gameplay, 2-6 Modes don't seem to make any difference.

do u know which ones they do by chances?

There is a new test-build (NOT "BDM5" yet) in the MX4SIO-thread, which might fix your issues as well as some card-incompatibilities.

cool thanks so i assumed the build isn't finished yet then frhe sounds of it i know this stuff must take forever to do

It does not take that long. It is rather about the benefit of making a new build or not.

thank you so i figured out its the micro sd card cause i tried everything and nothing worked. Also can you use an Extrenal Hard Drive with a USB Plug at the end of the drive to hook it up outside the ps2 or does it need to be in the back port of it?

External drives are taken by BDM, so expecting MBR logic with FAT32 (all OPL) or exFAT (version 1.2.0 beta and (in future) all newer). Internal drive must use APA and disc images as partitions. Two different environments.

This is not quantum mechanics. Basic scholarship is in the internet, so You can quickly change that state. ;)

Starting from PC stuff:
PS2 stuff:
  • BDM is shortcut from Block Device Manager. Let's say it is a driver which responsible for external devices support and their logic structures (USB and FW400 (e.g external HDD can be connected by both ports), MX4SIO (which You know already what it is)).
  • OPL is shortcut from Open PS2 Loader, application which You using for launching games from e.g MX4SIO.
  • APA is... long story. ;) https://www.psx-place.com/threads/a...thing-you-should-know-about-hdd-in-ps2.30912/ and used for internal HDD
