PS2 Freehdboot memory card question

Successfully softmoded my ps2 with free hd boot and was going to make a freemcboot memory card but the card I was using was one of those cheap knockoff memory cards and the install failed but it left a bunch of corrupted data. Can i wipe this memory card and still use it or is it being used to save settings?

Yes.
You can also make that card run FMCB with Opentuna FMCB. Found here:
