PS3 Freezing after CFW4.86

Hi, Guys, how are you doing ?

I have a bit of a problem, well, I'll try to be short with my words as possible.

I updraded my console from 4.82OFW to 4.86OFW and used it for amazon prime video for one week long before jailbreaking using 4.86CFW, before that my console was stored in my closet for about one year long.

Well, I did check the @bguerville PS3 toolset and got the Green sign, also checked as the flashes and stuff, verything went Succesfully, I checked my memory dump twice and I got 1 warning that "said that the console should be 4.82+" and needless to say it already was.
Ok, I followed the MODDED WARFARE tutorial, and everything went succesfully 100% well.

Ok, the problems starts here, after that I installed:
WebMAN and set the coolers to SYSCON
MultiMan
PS2 Launcher
PSP Launcher
and PrepISO

Everything was running perfectly, until - I Think - I tryied to use PrepISO, I noticed this right after using ising it, I might be talking nonsense, but...

My console started when it wanted, sometimes it started running, I got the bip, the greenlight, the cooler spinning, and then it shutted down. And sometimes it started just fine

Also, the screen freezes, sometimes it happens on XMB Screen, sometimes when I'm playing, some times it happens whitin hours, sometimes in one hour, sometimes in minutes, 30 minutes, 5 minutes...

Detail, I installed a brand new ssd on It, and the problem persists, I don't know if I caused it jailbreaking, or using prepiso or if the problem was about to happen.

Could some help please ?

Have you tried reinstalling your CFW? It won't remove any of your homebrew or files or roll back anything installed, so it's worth a try to see if it fixes the issue you're facing. I don't get why prepISO would cause that behaviour.

Also, which version of prepISO did you use? The latest version is 1.27 and can be downloaded from here, which is the official webMAN MOD repository. I would however try reinstalling whichever 4.86 CFW you went for, to see if that fixes the problem.

Yes, I did try to reinstall the CFW, also after that I installed a brand new SSD and did a clean install of the CFW, and Yes, I used the latest version of PrepISO and the problem persists

When multiMAN starts, it removes the map path for wm_proxy.sprx. It is a known source of XMB freeze when you try to use any of the XMB items in webMAN Games menu.

First I did it on the the original HardDrive, and yes, I used multiMan as well, but it froze anywhere, even in the MultiMan
Later, trying to fix the issue, I put a brand new SSD, formated and ran a clean installation of the same CFW that I had before, but this time I was cleaner, I just installed the Latest ManaGunz (1.38) and its file manager, for a couple of hours it did good, but then it froze again, and again.. It even froze in security mode sometimes
 
Could it be a hardware problem? Using prepiso may just be a coincidence. Maybe it's overheating? Have you tried cleaning it?

Yes, I did try, it was actually clean, I had done a BGA two years ago of the RSX, and it look clean, not much dust, I could clean it only using a smoth brush, and.. but, the overheat I couldn't measure, I just know that about this it was Ok before and after the cfw, I can't determine if it could be a problem of overheating...

Some technitians adviced me of doing the bga again as the only possible solution or to change it completely
 
If you are wondering about posible hardware problems... before thinking in BGA you should think in the power supply first
When the power supply have problems the voltages of the whole motherboard becomes inestables, and eventually some components could do weird things, like video problems or firmware freezes/crashes... sometimes it looks random but depends of the workload
If you have other PS3 of the same model try to swap the power supplyes to see if the problem persists... or... you can do a test by using an standard PC ATX power supply... there are a couple of tutorials in this subforum https://www.psx-place.com/forums/hardware-mods.88/

Btw, by now you should stop using the SSD, because you are in problems and the SSD is not helping at all to identify them
Some SSD's are problematic when used in the PS3, this depends of the SSD brand/model but i cant tell you which ones to use, i just remember there was people reporting problems with some of them
