After Hermes, this is the second game from Retroguru team ported to PS2.

Fruit'Y is heavily inspired by the Kaiko classic Gem'X, which has been seen on computers such as the Commodore Amiga 500, Commodore 64 and Atari ST.
Although tiger mum forbids little Sheran to play with edibles, there is simply no way to stop him from playing with fruits found inside the deep jungle. Being shiny, smelling wonderful and tasting even better Sheran can't be kept away. So let's do the best we could do: Support him!
The game consists of two boards of fruits. The left field belongs to Sheran who needs to reproduce the right field 1:1 being able to proceed to the next level. Sounds easy?!

As for Hermes, you can download the game from the Retroguru site at the Fruit'Y page: https://www.retroguru.com/fruity/

In the zip of the PS2 release there is an ISO version that can be launched with OPL, and an ELF version playable with your favorite ELF loader.

The ISO works fine with the latest version of OPL simply placing it in the CD folder. Older version of OPL could have problems launching the game without some configuration. I can't (and don't have time) to make the configuration files for you, sorry.

As usual let me know if everything works fine.

Other Retroguru games will be released soon for PS, so check this forum and the Retroguru FB page often.

Freezing after trying to change scalling option.

Besides that it is nice puzzle game with nice graphics. I like that. Thanks for the bringing it to PS2. Does more games are You planning to port?

BTW: Running homebrew apps from disc image via OPL is... pointless and "bugborn". ;) OPL can run apps from dedicated menu, from ELF. There is no reason to distribute homebrew game in disc image if doesn't using external resources and with lack of MC/USB/HDD support. Just FYI. ^^

Yes there is a little bug that I'm fixing. Meanwhile, change resolution to 640x4080 without changing the scaling options, save the changes and go back to the main menu. This way next time you try to modify the scaling it will work. I'll post here when a new fixed version will be availabe on the RG site.

There are other 4 game almost ready for release. But you have to wait a little to know the titles :friendly wink:

There are people asking for the ISO, and people with a modchip could want to burn it on a DVD, so why not releasing it?

Neat puzzle-game! Cool indeed!

4 more games? Wooohooooo! Can't wait to see them.

Btw.: I think I read something about XUMP being ported?
We have a XUMP-Game-port for the PS2 since ~2006. Is it the same game?

The 2006 version is the original game by Psilocybin.

Retroguru version is an upgraded version in GFX, Musics and gameplay. It has new levesl and the original levels hidded somewhere .

And yes, it's one of the 4 games I ported to PS2. I need only the image for the savefile and some more testing.

Peoples with modchips using FMCB/FHDB. Peoples with Fortuna booting to uLE or FMCB. Peoples with FDVDB booting to uLE. So still IMO disc images are pointless. ^^

However, having all Your homebrew games on disc with IGR and some nice launcher (or just uLE with sets paths in main menu) would change this.

But of course, this is only my opinion. What I mostly like in Your homebrew (so far two games) is professional pixel art and that they works from USB and HDD. Most of the unofficial games released for PS2 looks ugly and works ugly (if even works). So thanks for the effort. ^^

Thank you.

To be honest these two are not games of mine. There are a lot of people working in the Retroguru Team and I'm in charge of porting the games on some system (3ds, Raspberry, and now PS2), but I'm also rewiting some of them for the Atari Lynx.

There is a game coded by me, Super Nutmeg, next to be release on all platforms. It will be released for PS2 too next year.

The files on retroguru site have been uptaded with the bug fix for the freeze when changing the screen filter for the first time.

Soon another game will be released.

EDIT: I found this game here:

Thank you. The game is the same but with new levels, new musics and new graphics. The designer of the first version is Kojote that is the team leader of Retroguru, so the new version is a direct evolution of the first one.

Just released the PS2 port on this site.
