Hi, I installed just "4.88.2 Evilnat Cobra (8.3) Custom FirmWare (CFW-CEX) Released" and try to connect to the ps3 via ftp. I didn't install any app yet do I need to install a ftp Server App? I was thinking it's not needed or?

Yes, you need to install a ftp server homebrew as there is no ftp server included by default on CFW.
Many homebrew apps offer ftp support.
All backup managers include a ftp server whether it's multiman, Irisman, Managunz, webman, sMan etc..
There are also dedicated ftp server tools such as open ps3 ftp server by jjolano in self or sprx format.
