Hello,

Tried playing Ultimate Spider-Man (SLES_533.91). The game supports multiple languages, booting automatically in French. I unfortunately am not that good at French so I would like to know if there's a way to run it in English instead.

I tried changing the OSD settings but to no avail.

Like always, any help is appreciated.

Check OPL settings, this happened to me with Soul Calibur 3 japanese version, it booted in english, had to change a setting in OPL to make it show Japanese text

Is it a setting in the OSD section of the main OPL menu? Tried changing things from there but nothing worked.

So I went and checked the game, it seems like the game has no english included in the disc. I was able to launch it in spannish and german by changing the OSD setting on OPL, but using english option just loads french language
Check the SLES_533.90 version, seems like the one you use is not for England

This worked. Thank you very much! I had a similar issue with another Spider-Man game, so looking back it makes sense.

You can always play the american version if you really want english by default, the european region sometimes has different versions for each country
And I checked Redump and other sites for info about this version and all list it with english language. But from my experience Redump sometimes is wrong for the language info

most european games default to french, english or the game studio native language...

What OPL OSD Settings feature does is interfere any attempt of the game software to detect the language configured on the console OSD, enforcing the value you chose...

Quite usefull for terribly coded games wich dont let you manually chose lang (eg: spiderman 3, crash M.O.M and others)
