best racing series imo is burnout especially the ones where you get boosts by crashing into people. yes, in the 90s when I was a kid. I kinda miss blockbuster. it's convenient, maybe even practical, with netflix, but it's just not the same experience. you actually got to spend time outside your house back then.

totally !!! how time's have changed my friend!
Loved my childhood , going out with my friends all the time playing football , cycling , so many things , so much fun we had .
I used to go to blockbuster all the time loved it.
Totally understand netflix , I also use it , nowadays it's more about the instant convenience and not having to bother to go to a video club . But yeah those times we're friggin' awesome Pinky! :D

Current game that I'm in - The Last Of Us
Have to start all over some weird shit happened with my save state.
More time to scavenge for supplies XD
Bioshock Infinite was great and couldn't wait to finish it , was getting sick of that bloody city.
Started Bioshock 1 and somehow it just didn't appeal to me. Loved the cinematic intro but then the rest all the elements and areas just don't appeal to me. Everything seems to be so much airtight and you get attacked from all sides.

Anyways catch you again sometime , I got stuff to do and gotta join Joel & Ellie again soon.

Oh and yeah Burnouts good but I haven't followed it since I had played Burnout Revenge back at my friends on his PS2. Ridge Racer Unbounded is kinda copying it and it's nowhere as good.
But I prefer Wipeout for the real extreme unrealistic racing type.

Not sure if anyone here plays The Long Dark, but Episode 3 of the story mode launched today. I'm going to be giving it a go shortly, on the PC version, but it's also on PS4 and Xbox One. It's an excellent wilderness survival game set in northern Canada, and one of the best games I've played in the genre. Highly recommended for anybody who likes survival games.

 
I dig survival horror a lot but I usually stay away from games released in episodes, I prefer the games in full. The trailer looks great though exactly what one should expect from the genre.

ATM having a break off Ridge Racer 7 playing it for my son he loves racing games.

I'm a big fan of survival horror myself. The Long Dark though has a sandbox mode where you can access the full map, so Wintermute is just the episodic story mode of the game which many people don't bother with at all from what I've read. I've played both, but it's an interesting story so will be good to see more of it.
 
not a big fan of survival horror, but I did like resident evil 4. and, I got resident evil 0 and another in the series for the ps4 by buying one of those humble bundles.
 
I'm not a big fan of sandbox games but more towards story / cinematic plots.
Best Survival Horrors that seriously impacted me were Alien Isolation , Resident Evil 7 also Singularity (underrated gem!) . Hope to find more like those.
Was hyped about the Agony game but seems it went to shit. It seriously had potential as I'm a fan of Dante's Inferno too.
The Last Of Us is the last ''survival'' horror I've come across although it's not like complete horror but it managed to suck me in which is great.

Pinky , the first Resident Evil to me is still one of the best (excuse the cheesy acting but back in 96 it was WOW lol XD) . Resident 7 was great!
Haven't paid much attention to the sequels because the 2nd one was open setting and after that capcom cut off that real horror and mixed with more shooting.

Resident Evil Zero is great too but very very puzzle orientated.
 
I think resident evil 7 is playable on 5.05. I think I read that they went back to their roots with that one.

But yeah it's intense. :D

Forgot to say imo that's a game that makes justice to the PS4 and Senua's Sacrifice is another masterpiece.

If you guys know any survival horror's on the PS3apart from those I mentioned lemme know. :D

Same here :)

Last Of Us is completely different, if you're like me you're probably gonna be like mehhhhh at the start but things tend to get more interesting as you progress.
Naughty Dog certainly earned my respect with this one and I understand where they were coming from (Crash Bandicoot) but they thrived to not being the company that just makes silly cartoony games and they did it. Respect Naughty Dog! :D Bought the entire Uncharted trilogy XD
It's like going back to Indiana Jones days!

the slime ps4 is a phat. after my account was banned, I stopped playing the system entirely. I've owned the system for 5+ years, and I only have about 10 hours worth of playtime. by comparison, I played and beat dragon quest 1, which came out on the 27th of last month for the switch, and it says I've played the game for 15 hours. the irony is that I'm more enthused by remakes or ports than new games as I've nearly beaten final fantasy vii and ix on the switch as well. anyway, with the ps4, I know some about exploiting it, probably spent more time reading and testing, just like I did with the ps3, than gaming. I've ripped my entire game collection (13 games) at least two or three times.

Remakes aren't bad imo , but it's more for people that never had the chance to play the originals in the first place because most of the remakes I've already played them and the improvements they seem to have done aren't that great.
I've just seen videos of The Last Of Us original vs remake and my impression of these remakes are they are just brought up for new gamers , there's not much difference graphically.

For example:

the only difference I've honestly spotted was sure someone must've played with the GAMMA settings a lot...
If you read through the comments it's great to read how much praise the PS3 is still getting for it.
Maybe there's a bit of detail here and there which is really minor and of course the frame rate , which I couldn't care less because it makes it look cheap like non-cinematic movies are. Just takes it all away and it just looks cheap imo.
Not that I'm saying that 60fps are bad (God Of War Collection 1 is just that and it's great! But PS3 God Of War 3 is a shit ton better and lesser frame rate I think) ,but cinematic games to me on a very high frame rate tend to chop it off for me if not done just right.

I've also read a bit about exploiting the PS4 but couldn't be really bothered. It's far from the solid dev on the PS3 and it still remains my favourite console to this day.

I've played God of War , all of them on the PS3 and was very happy with it. But again , I never had a PS2.

I think ni no kuni is a port for the switch rather than remastered. I bought the game on the eshop, since I never really gave it much of a chance on the ps3. I love the art style, but I'm having trouble enjoying the battle system. I don't like the battle music, and the battle mechanics just seem slow. I'm still in the first stage (that forest) though, so maybe it gets better. I've heard the game is like pokemon, which I've never really played. I was thinking of buying pokemon sword or shield next month, but I don't know if I'll enjoy them if they are similar.
 
I currently have 35 hours (according to my profile) with dragon quest 3, which is how long it took me to beat dragon quest 1 (10 hours) and dragon quest 2 (15 hours) combined. I'm starting to get a bit bored with the game. I just spent over 100,000 gp buying new equipment. I noticed that they changed the design of gold golem on part 3. the one on part 1, to me, is superior.

RPG's have incredible and immersive stories but it's like you , it's the battle systems that completely bug me out because they're so damn long.

Good point , Nintendo has ports instead of remasters and the only remasters they did are really good ones because , I mean , it's a good valid point they have by bringing up classic games that everyone loves from 10-20 years ago and using the more recent technology.
Those I'm more than happy to play , now , games like Resident Evil 2 remake , Shadow of the Colossus (Remastered TWICE) , Catherine :Full Body are lame excuses for it.

you can get clues from random npcs in the original dragon quest trilogy. even though they're a bit cryptic, you can figure it out after a while, unlike bloodstained. the crafting person told me something about being able to fly, which I think is what I need to do next. however, I can't see his message anymore, so I have to go based solely on memory. I also have a key that doesn't seem to go to anything.
 
yes, you have to buy each game separately. together, they're like $20 for all three. I'd highly recommend them if you like old school rpgs. I got a friend into dragon quest. he's playing part xi. I have the game as well, but since dq 1-3 and 11 are linked or use the same legend, I wanted to play them in order. the second one has luminary in the name of the game, and you find out you're a luminary at the beginning of 11.
 
I agree those games share a bit of Zelda so I know it can be very frustrating.
You can always do a bit of a walkthrough anyways.

Bloodstained?

Not bad , imo it's for the fans of Castlevania Symphony of the Night.
