Getting a PSN game to work on a non-activated PS3 with PS3HEN and an out-of-date OFW

I have Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection and its respective RAP file. I installed the PKG on my PS3 and had the RAP file in the exdata folder of my USB drive, so PS3HEN would activate it. But when I go to start the game, it says I need to go onto the PlayStation Store to buy it. And when I go to log in, it says I need to update my OFW, which I do not wanna do (I'm on 4.86 and wanna keep it that way). Any help on getting the game to work would be appreciated.

hello, if you want to activate a PKG game you can use reActPSN it lets you activate a PKG game without connecting to the internet and without updating your firmware. I guess it works on ps3 hen if not anyone can correct me.

Why not update it to 4.88? btw you can use APOLLO SAVE TOOL for it.

I gave up on this and decided to use my SNES ROMs instead. Thanks for the help though.

As @LuanTeles said, you can do an offline activation on HEN using Apollo Save tool.

Just remember to have webman mod available to restore the fake act.dat file on reboot.
