PS3 Getting to know if a CECH25xx is downgradeable

I've found a relatively cheap PS3 slim with little use. The seller posts some pictures of the stickers at the back of the console, but as I live in Argentina, here are logically only USA models, and here the datecodes are not as in euro versions, as you can see at the bottom of the link. It's a sucession of numbers with some dashes in between.

So basically I wanted to know if someone has a reference of USA models datecodes so as to know before buying if the ps3 is downgradeable or not.

The code is 1769-10-6223. Any idea?

i dont know what that code is. do you know the entire model number AND the month and year printed on sticker?

the only way to be completely sure is using minver pup or bgtoolset.

yes, I can't read the pictures correctly to see the date. I could finally found a 25xx series with minversion 3.51 (a 2501A). Thank you anyways.

There is no need to downgrade. Just use bgtoolset and flash tools. Don't skip any steps

Great. Do you know where I can find tutorial for that? as to be reading beforehand, i still don't have the ps3 in my hands.
