hello guys

is safe to go online using REBU 4.84.2 BY Change Active PS3ID ?

only for sync trophy not for playing online / i was playing a lot online only NINGA GAIDEN SIGMA 2 FROM UPDATE 4.85 AND NEVER GET BANNED but i never any other game only this and sync trophy can i do it now with bypass 4.90 i try use the ps3-updatelist.txt but not working only if i change ActiveID Spoof

I'd at least install DB OFW 4.90 to sync your trophies then revert back to CFW. Or don't do it at all.

He was actually talking about DB OFW. It's identical to OFW with one difference - it allows you to reinstall CFW without having to go through the whole jailbreaking process again (and risk a brick if the system crashes or loses power in the middle of the flashing process). From a PSN perspective DB is considered nearly as safe as OFW - I'm not aware of anyone who got banned on DB due to something that wouldn't have triggered a ban on real OFW as well.
But tbh Evilnat PEX is (probably) safe enough for syncing trophies. Just remember to disable syscalls before you sign in.

Speaking of which - If you have any fake trophies (i.e. that you just gave yourself using homebrew tools) then you're very likely to get banned if you attempt to sync them. Sony has server side heuristics that allows them to detect such fake trophies, and since we don't have the server side code we can't know exactly what are the triggers. Even switching to OFW will not help in this case because it does not remove the trophies from your system (unless you also reformat the HDD). The only way to go is to delete all fake trophies and make sure you only sync trophies you have obtained via legit means.
