I do have some previous Xbox 360 BGA experience.
I have reballed/replaced XCPUs, XGPUs, XCGPUs.
I have proper reballing jigs, stencils, tacky flux, board jigs, and a Honton r490.
So, should be pretty much ready to go.
I however have not been able to find any broken PS3s to attempt this on.
Only working CECHA01, and CECHE01.
I would try it on a non-backwards compatible model, but, I'm not certain there are guides detailing the process for other models.
It would be pretty neat to get one of these done successfully to place on the shelf next to the other retro consoles. Anyone else done a Frankenstein for the first time recently?
