PS3 GPU reballing likely needed

Hi,

I have a PS3 slim CECH-2501A. A few days ago it stopped showing video. It boots, there is audio, but no video. Tried replacing HDMI cable, another composite cable, resetting HDMI video settings, another TV. The only place there is video is the menu of 6 items in the Safe Mode. Before it broke the console froze a few times. At one point it showed the HDMI set up menu, but not anymore.

I think it might need a GPU reballing. Can anyone recommend a service for that? I looked up online, but some places have very mixed reviews.

Before thinking its the GPU, try replacing the HDMI retimer/encoder chip. Worst case it is the GPU.
