Graphics Synthesizer Mode Selector (GSM)

PS2 Graphics Synthesizer Mode Selector (GSM)

Thanks for the answer , i did not find this setting, i'm using OPL 1917 . After searching some info i find this " Into GSM, MAGH and MAGV are never directly controlled by the user, but are automatically adjusted for best possible rendering" . So perhaps i can only change it in the code, but i don't have it and don't know how to work with it .
If you ask me, it should totally be an accesible setting . 1x could be the maximum quality to get on an LCD display, that would be 1:1 pixels, centered . Since many people have 100+ cm displays , it would be an acceptable compromise to see the game centered but better looking . 2x would be almost full screen but still better that 100% streched .

I used GSM standalone forever ago n I left it because MGS3 480p 720p 1080i did not like (only remember that 480p had to have borders. Projector, CRT, component all same)

I took a stab @ making Forbidden Siren 2 viewable again n my golly waow setting NTSC is perfection if you don't idle on title screen too long, that FMV locks it up

So OPL call its integrated GSM v0.40? Any hope to have that elf on its own please

Hi, I had been using GSM through FreeDVDBoot and it worked fine, but now that i've purchased an original memory card and have freemcboot and ulaunchelf installed, it no longer reads any controller inputs, regardless of how I launch GSM, it started after I messed with ESR, anyone had this problem?

Hello, I apologize in advance if my proposal has already been considered before.
Is there a possibility of adding 240p mode (NTSC-NI to NTSC-I field) to the GSM menu?
There are many PS2 games that I love to play on my CRT and NTSC-NI to NTSC-I field eliminates flicker and adds scanlines; Games like Marver vs Capcom 2, The King of Fighters, and Metal Slug look fantastic with this setup; However, I must use OPL 0.9.3 and cannot take advantage of many of the new features.
Thank you so much.

Related, I've discovered a method to get HDTV Xploder working with OLP. See the tutorials forum for more info, I don't have permission to post links yet.

There's no need. Simply install an older version of stand alone GSM, activate the chosen resolution and exit into PS2 System Menu. From there, launch OPL as normal, and make sure GSM is set to Off in game options. For a permanent solution you could always hex edit ISO's directly.

Thank you very much for your reply. Yes, that method does work and is the one I use; however, it only works on OPL versions lower than 1.0. If I try to use that method on OPL versions higher than 1.0, the screen goes black and the games don't load.
I understand that it's not a critical issue and not many people still play on CRTs, but I would like to take advantage of the new OPL features.
Thanks again for the reply, regards.
