So I found out you can play gta 5 online if you install the update 1.06 or 1.12 l, I am on 1.06 I deleted the updates and installed 1.06 changed the games param.sfo from 1.06 to 1.27 and you can play online without saving your account, I uninstall my mod menu from km zoilus menu and now it says undefined when loading up so trail and error, I am running a proxy server to see, what happens internally, to see if I can import a save

Edit: after installing vanilla gta 5 I runs again but says rockstar servers are unavailable
Restarted gta 5 go to online in the loadup screen and same error, while 20 min ago it worked, strange

Did the same steps again on 1.06 and it worked

Next step i try 1.12

That's interesting. Maybe I could use it to fix the bugged random events missions that don't pop up (going online and then to offline game was one of the know fixes).

Will try it next weekend.

One question, can this be used to activate the free stuff given to Social Club members?.
 
I tested it and it's working fine I was able to play with my friends.

It uses P2P and sometimes it gets laggy but overall experience is good but seems like the progress is reseted everytime.

I never messed with GTA V modding or so, but if update.rpf can be extracted and repacked ( I think it's possible as there are texture packs out there, scripts changes and so on) dlcs and bug fixes can be merged in the 1.12 update + 1.27 things just keeping the files responsable for the P2P online.

I edited the PS3 game update server and the GTA update xmls to download a 1.28 update that is 1.12 + param.sfo changes, works good on my PS3.
 
I haven't seen anyone mention if it's possible to play this without having a console with HFW/CFW since you only need the update.

but highly doubt it can be done
 
I didn't quite understand the procedure ..install updates up to 1.07 then download update 1.12 , edit the PARAM.SFO to 1.27 then play ?

Yes you can, use the game update feature and let it install until 1.12 then cancel
 
Hi all. Nice to see some interest in this subject. I've been doing some experimenting myself. I checked to see what files were being modified during the character creation process to see if they can be intercepted. Just a shot in the dark, it didn't work. But still. As mentioned above, I think there's potential here for some script mods. I'll definitely be looking more into this possibility!
