PS3 [GUIDE] How to connect PC to PS3 webman FTP server

I always get this message on filezilla :

Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing

So I changed setting : timeout in seconds to : 90 instead of 20.
For now it work...

I've been having some problems connecting my ftp server to my ps3. I use filezilla and I have had no problems connecting until today it won't let me connect what so ever anymore and when I go on here https://ftptest.net/ it says can't connect because I have a private IP what does that mean? Why would it all a sudden do this? How do I fix it? thanks in advance

You can connect your pc to ps3 with ethernet cable.
IPV4 settings
IP Address 10.1.1.1
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Defualt Router 1.1.1.0
Primary DNS 1.1.1.1

PS3 setting
IP Address 10.1.1.2
Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0
Defualt Router 1.1.1.0
Primary DNS 1.1.1.1

If you don't want the ps3 to auto shutdown just hook and pull a joystick to a direction with a rubber band.

I'm not able to connect to my PS3 via filezilla.

My PS3 is conected by LAN.
My laptop by wifi on the same network.

FileZilla give me this message :
Error: Connection timed out after 20 seconds of inactivity
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing.

Do my PS3 and Laptop have to be connected by wifi each?

you don't need filezilla or any app to create an ftp connection in windows 10 or 11. just type: ftp://ip_address_of_ps3 in file explorer's address bar, map it as a network connection if need be. also, lan has nothing to do with the internet. you should be able to connect to the ps3 with a direct connection, even without any internet connection in your house.
