It depends which CoreOS you want.what do i do if i bricked 4.89 do you have the coreos for that
It depends which CoreOS you want.
A] If the console is CFW compatible, you probably want the nofsm CoreOS 4.89 to jailbreak the console, you can get it from github.com/littlebalup/pyPS3tools repository. I think that's what you should use imho because you can ALWAYS install OFW over it once the console is revived if you no longer want to jailbreak.
B] If the console is not CFW compatible, you need an official CoreOS 4.89 to restore OFW/HFW, there are 3 main options:
1. CoreOS 4.89 PKG file and its contents can be extracted from the official PUP file using the usual pup tools, puadgui for instance. You could use that data to make a patch file.
2. If you made a validated dump of your Flash memory before bricking, you could extract the CoreOS data and make your own patch file with it, it's very easy to do with an hex editor.
3. Anyone running OFW 4.89 or HFW 4.89 can dump the official CoreOS into a valid nofsm patch file, that can be restored with a hardware flasher, using the PS3 Toolset (in system manager tree, turn off strict mode then click on ROS 0 or ROS 1, whichever 4.89 is installed on, as appropriate, to get the context menu option to dump it). Imho that's their easiest way to go about it for a noob, nothing else to do, just dump the file, that is it, if you don't have a working console or know someone on OFW/HFW 4.89 willing to dump the file for you, I am pretty sure you can find someone in this forum to do it, it ONLY takes a minute to do.
Please start with clarifying the situation, what console model is it, what is the problem, do you have a validated dump from before the brick etc...wait so i use it in the ps3dumpchecker first
and then use it again in the pyps3tools patcher?
and do i need to byteswap it

Otherwise we have to make answers that comprise every possible use case.

Post the exact model, ie CECH-????i think my model is cfw compatiable but i had patched it with a bad patch so i dont know if i can even repatch it
if i give you the dump can you do it for me its all really complicated for me
no idea how to jailbreak etc
hold on im trying to get the dump
hello? i think i might need a new power button its been broken ill probably have to get a new one to continue to fix this
you can check codes HERE.Hi there. If someone knows what's reason for 8002f147 error? Is it software or hardware issue? The motherboard is JTP-001 on 4.82 firmware. Firmware has no error on PS3DumpCheker. The UART terminal (bringup command) shows zero errors in Syscon logs. Just PCI and PCIex disabled.
Thx
You can create it from offical PS3UPDAT.PUP file by extracting and decrypting CORE_OS_PACKAGE.pkgHi
Any news for CosOFW488.bin or CosOFW489.bin file ?
Hey my friend first of all i want to with u a marry christimas.Post the exact model, ie CECH-????
If you can power on the console, see whether or not it starts.
Does it get to XMB?
If not, can it enter recovery mode using the appropriate power button sequence?
Depends on what you have at hand. You'll need a proper dump that contains essential per console data. If the dump was corrupted by using exploit tools, chances are they are only corrupted in ROS0/1 data. In that case, which I had once before, it can be saved from donated dumps, with proper flasher and software. Can a PS3 be unbrick with a donated flash.bin?
