Good afternoon.
I dont know if this is the right place to post this, I'm new to the forum and still figuring everything out.
I just bought a ps3 Cech 3004A , did not know anything about the firmware and that it cannot be jailbroken etc complete and total noob. Still struggling to get my way around the ps3 itself.
After searching for games all over , unfortunately in my country it was hard.. so I decided to try and jailbreak , which I realized too late I couldnt do. Instead I started educating myself with HAN , pkg's raps etc but there's still a lot I dont know.. I updated my firmware to 4.82 thinking it would be best to have the latest updates .. *facepalm*
Basically my problem is this ... I got attack on titan wings of freedom + rap but it's not working , I've tried for 5 days .. I'm stumped. I wouldn't post on the forum if I thought I had a different option because I love figuring stuff out on my own.
I downloaded the pkg and rap and signed tried different methods atleast 20+ times these past 5 days.. that includes redownloading it about 10 times. I honestly do not know what to do anymore, I've searched Google so many times and tried so many different things, but I still cant find a solution Googling it I found that it must the the eboot file ? , the error is 80010017 error in start up operation it takes me to 720p when I launch it then back to 1080p then the error pops up. I know everyone has come far with the exploits and I'm sure someone can help me or solved this problem already I just cannot find where. I've given up but then I try again , really want a way to fix this. I tried finding another rap file , no luck .. I found sk tech's version of the game with dlc's + fix still not working and also dont have a rap file. I read that u can fix the eboot in a iso file so I wondered if I should convert the pkg to iso fix the iso then convert it back to pkg? , I didnt try it since I'm already so tired and sure that if it was possible people would've done it and I havnt seen anything on it. Dont even know if it's possible. Plea

after running create_hdd_region.sh script and enter petitboot command
when try live red ribbon run
i got "failed kexec /var/petitboot/mnt/sda/live/vmlinux"

how can i solve this?

Hello peeps, as an otherOS user I stayed on 3.21 back in the day and was able to JB with a Teensy. The last cfw I used was Rebug 3.55 or .56 (guessing here). I don't use my PS3 much anymore but was wondering if there's a major reason or benefit to reverting to OFW to then utilize the "new" PS3XPLOIT or is it a case of if it 'ain't broke don't fix it?

I see no reason for you to do that.
The ps3xploit Flasher is basically a software equivalent of a hardware flasher on ofw 4.81/4.82. It allows the installation of a cfw on a console running ofw, that's it.
If you already have cfw, you can directly update to a 4.xx release if you wish but you don't have needs of this tool.

Should you find yourself back on ofw by accident or whatever, you can use the Flash Writer instead of hooking up a Teensy.

Any news when will the 4.83 firmware get supported? I just sold a PS3 Superslim with a 4.82 CFW and HAN. The guy updated the console and now the games don't work.

Couple questions sorry for them as I'm sure you hear the same ones over and over lmao . First didnt know if anyone tried the 4.82 xploit on backwards cecha01and had luck since the 4.83 released I didnt know if it caused other firmware to have issues as well since I had no success. Also sure this is easy but some my demos or personal backups when I put them in pkg and dump on ps3 I always get the stupid license thing saying I'm not the correct user but none my users work. I tried Irisman, and basically every other pkg but never can get it. The react saya hit O or hold when start the app but never works either. Thanks and hope someone can give easy answer . I was not trying to sell I asked if I was able to and if so who do I deal with I sell on Ebay and local I have no issue getting off systems and was hoping didnt think that :=/ I honestly meant if yall need some ps4s with old firmware I'm the man I could prob help you guys because I know they hard to find. I've had 7 I jailbroke in last 2 months just because I'm bored. I'm friend tho no enemy ok buddies

If your trying to sell exploited system on ebay. (you will get flagged for that and SONY recently has even took action against some of these guys doing it on ebay, they have been some of the buyers.). Then from the sound of it are including games as well. We do not support stuff like this and violates our site rules.

I been refurbing computers , TVs , game systems , you name it I repair motherboards to tv screens . I would never sell a exploited system with mod menuz or anything illegal . Anyone that dumb deserves they door kicked in or a court date. I sell systems that are capable if any . I was trying to show love but you making me out to be some loser , beginner hacker still wet behind the ears. I'm sudo su / apt-get install certified so you can give me a break a little plz

I think the first post i replied to you earlier, was you throwing insults (nothing major).. However, We do not like off-topic post and unnecessary drama. if there is no need for it. Easy rules, that simple and why you were told being a new user.. I think we have a successful atmosphere here.,and this is part of the reason..

edit: also the problem is not site itself, I see your using tapatalk.. useful but does not support many things very well in many forums. something to keep in mind when using tapatalk.

Yes, lots of bugs in Tapatalk that seem to remain across all the updates they push.

For instance, the same kind of confusion can be caused by an annoying Tapatalk bug which mixes up the thumbnail icon of forum users in certain situations.
When it happens, the user name & info is correct but the icon is wrong leading people to easily mistake one user for another if they don't double check the username.

There is another recurrent bug that wrongly identifies the last poster in a thread as that thread's OP.

Did the same steps as firs time and restarted the ps3. Now it shuts down immediately after switch on and three beeps and red light shows. Can anybody help please? CHECHH08 is the model if helps.

Try to boot the PS3 in recovery mode and use option 6

Take the hdd out of the PS3, format it in PC, connect it again to the PS3 and follow instructions on screen

Thank you for the reply. Have to say that i can not enter bios/ boot mode since the console after power on jist beeps 3 times fast then flashing red light. Think that this wont give me access to boot... Should I have sth special like a tool to coonect the ps3 hdd to my pc? Sorry for the question but never used ps3 and I am not familiar. Bought it to my son and never plaied. Thank you.

Your PS3 model have a NOR flash (16mb), this is a real "chip" soldered in the motherboard, and it have a "virtual flash" partition of 256mb inside hdd

My guess is the files inside the "virtual flash" was damaged when you was deleting the game

Try one thing, remove the hdd, turn on the PS3 without hdd, and tell us what happens
*If you see a warning text on screen this is a good signal
