Ive seen some announces of people saying "on sale PS3 with chip", but thats not true... they are just using that word because at the times of PS2 existed some "modchips", but for PS3 doesnt exists any "modchip"

Hello anyone please help me out so at first i was on rebug 4.82 cex then i converted it into dex and after that i tried installing 4.82 ita dex cfw and when the installation was complete when i booted up my ps3 it gave me the yellow light of death. im pretty sure it was because i forgot to turn on QA flag while downgrading to 4.75 ita or maybe the firmware is corrupted and ways i can fix this or do i have to fix it by using a e3 flash.

-Please Help

YLOD is fixed by either reflowing or reballing your system, the video shows reflowing which is the easier and cheaper way while reballing is more expensive but fixes the problem better.
Although, none of the solutions are really "fixing" the problem and really you should just get a new system. I did that.

So, best thing would be to get a new system, temporarily revive the old one, get eid_root_key (To be able to connect PS3 HDD to PC to transfer content to new system), your IDPS/PSID (If you are playing online)

I haven't reballed so I don't know any guides, but just google it ot maybe someone else can come up with something...

How to get eid_root_key if on Rebug:
Install Rebug Toolbox (If not already installed)
Launch Rebug Toolbox
Put a FAT32 flash drive in a USB port
Go to Utilities (To the far right) scroll down to the botton and hit "Dump eid_root_key"
Then when that's done, go to any file manager (I use Multimans built in one) and navigate to dev_hdd0/game/RBGTLBOX2/USRDIR
Copy the file named eid_root_key to your USB and that's it.

I don't remember how I got my IDPS but I guess you could use this:

EDIT: IDPS Dumper tab is the one to follow DON'T follow anything else, it will brick your system.

No,If your firmware is corrupted your console will not boot up.In order to fix it you need to enter safe mode and reinstall the firmware.PS3 will boot up after a successful firmware installation.
