You'll need a NoBD Firmware, to bypass the BD Logic Board failure, without the Logic Board, the console will simply remain on a black screen, to remedy that, get any NoBD CFW of your choice, and install it, or you can get the BD replaced, you'll need to install NoBD anyway in order to get the eid_rootkey from Rebug Toolbox, if you wish to remarry the BD with FSM, which you will need it,but if you don't plan to replace the BD Drive or the Logic Board, simply install a NoBD CFW.

Guys I have a CECHL01 ps3 with a broken ethernet wifi module. So there's two problems: 1st: I'm on 4.82 ofw is it possible to jailbreak only using a flash drive no internet whatsoever. 2nd: I've read that if you have a failure with your wifi ethernet module you will get a loop when updating and brick your ps3. Is that true?
So if I can't update due to the second problem of the update loop, is there any cfw out there that bypasses the hardware fault?
 
the problem is that ofw or even cfw, coming from ofw, won't install if there's a hardware problem with the bluray drive or bluetooth, which I think includes wifi.
 
I don't think so. the level of access for that involves messing with encrypted files...unless I'm misunderstanding.
 
Hey ya'll.
I'm new to the modding world lol, and I need help. I am currently running 4.85 HFW, and im trying to jailbreak my PS3 Slim. I checked its version already, its 3.56. I did all the necessary steps. I keep getting froze when I try to to patch NOR flash memory. Can anyone help me?
 
You can use any of the backup manager apps to copy games to internal (Multiman , IrisMAN etc), normally this is done by pressing triangle on the game, then selecting copy, then selecting the destination, the destination can be internal HDD or an external USB Device.


I tried copying the game but I get an error and the copying stops. Same case with creating an iso. I tried both (copying and creating) from a original game bluray disc from multiman, irisman to internal hdd. No luck. BTW I have a HFW HEN installed superslim.Any Help is appreciated.

ps: Idk if this helps but while creating an iso using irisman I get an error stating "error reading input file(build_file_iso) irisman". I followed Mr.Mario tutorial.
