Sounds like a plain generic modchip that only used to run bootlegged copies instead of purposes of running backups.my modchip is cheakisy
it's unknown modchip
don't worry,I fix itI'm using original DualShock 2
controller port 1 is working but controller port 2 is not work anymore but analog button on/off work
I installed modchip because I have 70-80 pieces ps2 disc so........I don't want to ruin your parade, but...
Don't get me wrong but you could have gotten 15(!!!)Modbo4 or 5 for that price!
I got a 50k from trash (DVD-Tray was stuck with a Jimmi Neutron DVD, lol) pressed maybe 10 times open close after another and it opened and I never had a problem with it since.
Normal price is around the 25-30€ with a controller usually!
The only thing which still makes this price still fine is the HDD-Adapter, especially if it is an original one from Sony...
HDD... Well... You can rip one from an old PC.
...and FMCB/FHDB would have given you way more and better features than that chip AND FOR FREE(!), if it really only supports booting backups!
Since you probably also use cheap-ass discs for your cheap-ass downloaded game-rips, your laser will probably not work anymore quite soon anyway...
Is it an official SONY memory card?Hi guys! I've been trying to hack my PS2 slim and I'm able to get into the Free McBoot installer. When I try to do either a normal or multi install it gets to "Decrypting DVDELF" then "Signing DVDELF for Memory Card 1" and then a red x pops up next to that last line and "Error during FreeMcBoot install..." shows up as well.
What can I do to fix this? Thanks!
Well, that is the reason I asked you if it is an Official or a Fake one. The official one's come with Magicgate encryption, but the fake one's don't so FMCB does not work on them.Well, I bought a 64 MB one off of Amazon and it turned out to not to be an official brand one. I got the noob package from a website that I found for the FMCBoot Installer, but then I tried downloading another version of it and that one said "Could not bind MagicGate to MC" or something similar. So then I decided to actually examine my memory card and yep, it had no logo or anything on it haha.
