HAN Toolbox

PS3 HAN Toolbox - The Xploit 3.0 Companion v0.7.1

I think it's better to leave it, in case han support files got an update and user doesn't want full Toolbox. Because if he has to update to install new support files, he can't go back to superlite version (the xml would be deleted if he delete Toolbox) -- well, he could use PS3 web broswer...

Thinking about it, a superlite PKG version (that will be never updated, just like the support files version) should be made if the user delete Toolbox by accident...

Yes, that is why I still like the idea of having the Lite version pkg get put on flash and have it available in the pkg manager system storage section.
  • That way its available after a format.
  • Does get wiped by a FW reinstall unlike being added to hdd.
  • Available if user deletes it by mistake.
  • User can delete it and not worry about getting it back, so makes it optional.
  • Could still have it install the xml too so its enabled by default

Obviously its not up to me and I am only making suggestions.

This applies to all version of the Toolbox but more for the full version: For the HAN installer, it could be turned into a submenu, with an option to download the support files to HANTOOLBX/han_support_files/ (via pkg) , and a separate auto running html made that looks there for them, so there could be options for "Get Latest Support Files" and then also "Reinstall HAN", possibly even "Uninstall HAN files" if standard 4.82 files are included too in say HANTOOLBX/uninstall_files, it can already be done using the manual one, but if same folder is used as DEX/CEX settings files things will get tricky, and also auto running is nice as users will often leave it on usb000 and complain its not working.

Probably best not to include uninstall option as it wont be clean like reinstalling FW.

The PKG itself, or just a download link ?
The pkg itself I think, if its a download link it nearly might as well be the full version. This would be a 100KB pkg as they must get padded to that. So then why not include standard version for an extra 200kb (or put both), I don't know, glad I don't have to make these decisions.

At least people have options now anyway. SuperLite, Lite, Standard, Full. :)

The strangest things happened to me few days ago.

The ps3 resigner tool signs some raps and converts them to pkg but they don't not install.Similarly on license injector when you try to write some riff names, you get "invalid rif file" for some reason.

I got this so I used the pkg method but once when the pkg method gave error, the act.dat + idps method worked.

When I used the injection method however, for some reason when using shortcut enabler in toolbox 0.4 my ps3 froze every time.I installed toolbox again.I tried to use the auto enabler again but this time instead of freezing, it just gave me an idle screen to look at saying "Enabling HAN"on top left of the screen. So I started using miniweb until I installed toolbox 0.5 and the auto enabler here worked perfectly(This time it says " Enabling HAN for CEX").I know that some of you will say "Did I enable debug pkg?".I really don't think after signing with the tool there is a need.Unless you're a dev yourself and know what you're doing.Still it would not have made a difference.

Please look into the resigner pkg problem with raps.Other than that, the progress has been great for the community and I love updates.Keep them coming.

Those would be issues for habib, you should probably post in the resigner 2.0 thread and he will see it. If you had example of the pkg/rif that wont install it would probably help him to trace it.

There was an issue on the website a few days ago when DEX support got added, CEX Xploits were broken for a while. Then the website got updated with dual support for DEX and CEX and that is why you see different message. HAN Toolbox 0.4 still works and never changed, it was the server end.

No you don't need debug pkg installer for most things.

Just so you know, the Toolbox is not made by Team PS3Xploit, we just made it to help users to use the Xploits, but they did the real work and are the only ones who can help with your issues.

I'm looking forward for the super-ultra-extra-mega-dupper-full edition... Or at least an update to XMBPD ;)
Yeah, XMBPD will come soon for CFW users. Im just waiting on an update to PKG Linker that allows it to add the title from Param.sfo instead of pkg name, I don't want to have to tidy up the names on hundreds of packages or write the xml manually tbh.

Hey thanks for replying Devil303.You guys have been a great help. Thanks for clarifying that it was a server problem.Coincidence was that this happened to me right after I injected license. But thanks for telling me it was a server problem.I'll take this problem to the pkg linker and maybe Habib will fix it.

Oh... although I mean to show the icon in the PKG list on the PC side ;) e.g. show it on a corner when you click the PKG

Now it looks like this...

Oh, well yes, see this teaser that @pink1 posted on the 8th, now it looks like the XMB list. With the package you hover over with mouse getting bigger like XMB.

It has been updated more since this screenshot, now the others are closer together like xmb.

I'll try to hurry up and get something done. I've been kinda lazy the last few days and haven't done anything.
