Hi i have a fat ps3 60gb and ive got evilnat 4.88 running on it - I just bought a 500gb hardrive and want to install it but every way ive tried has failed. Is there a guide to doing this for evilnat 4.8.8 anywhere?

There's really not a lot to do.

If you want to backup your data first, use a third drive (hdd or usb flash drive) that's bigger than however much data you've used on the original 60gb, then use the built in backup utility to backup your data.

Then create a usb flash drive with the latest Evilnat on the usb in X:\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP. Make sure the flash drive is formatted as fat32.

Replace your 60gb with the 500gb. Make sure the drive is initialized, and the partitioning is set to mbr. Gpt will not work, and I have a feeling this is where most people get hung up as most off the shelf drives nowadays, if they are already initialized and formatted, are probably running on gpt.

When you start the system with the new drive it will ask for an update, blah blah blah. Just have your flash drive with the update file in the ps3 and run the update. After a bit you're ready to go. Then use the built in backup utility to restore all of your data from the third drive that you used to backup your data.

If at any part you get hung up, it's best to say what part you're having issues with.
