PS2 [hardware mod] - A PS2 Portable

That is simply badass the only thing I would change though is somehow adding a hard drive especially a solid state drive for it being portable I know it would not be able to take advantage of the speeds. Would ensure it it lasted longer thanks for the share

Here also best to use a stiffner... You'll need a BGA48 programmer.

His github directions apply for flashing. He's working on a version that can be reflashed while installed, IIRC its down to 7-10min.

I once replaced the rom chip of a 70k with a 50k. It enabled fhdb but the console didn't work properly. It's not just the hdd. Several other things should stay the same.
I will take a look at the zip file and I hope I can understand how the mod works (I don't have enough software mod knowledge.). So I can modify an existing 70k bootloader.
And there is another problem. Finding a rewriteable rom chip which is compatible.
 
^ You need the later 1.90 bootrom from 50k...

The parts to make the writeable bootrom above are very easy to find... I realized I uploaded gerbers without BOM...so fixed that.
