Have to disable network before I can successfully run "Enable HEN"

Hi guys,

I am recently running into a wierd issue with my super slim ps3 on 4.91 with HEN. It appears that I need to disconnect my PS3 from internet before trying "Enabling HEN." Otherwise, enable HEN does nothing at all (automatically opens up a web page with a grey HEN logo in the background then closes, no success notification in the top-right corner and everything is the same as if I had just powered on the console).

Does anyone have any idea what may causing this issue? I could survive this but it's kind of annoying when you have to mannually turn off the network and back on again each time.

It's quite possible that some network based background activity is messing with the setup of the lv2 exploit conditions..

Remember that the lv2 exploit is based on a network socket code vulnerability and that to set up the exploit correctly, HEN creates 2 or 3 dozens sockets and floods the lv2 memory, however any concomitant background activity that would free previously created sockets or other big chunks of previously allocated lv2 memory would be very likely to make the exploit fail.

Try turning off stuff like DLNA server or automatic PSN login, downloads, etc.. basically any service that uses the network behind the scenes.
You could also check whether you get the same issues with a brand new user profile..
