Hey all!
I'm new to PS3 (not general device) repair, and I'm having issues connecting to my CECHA01 to diagnose what the issue is. I've swapped the TX and RX switches but it always states that Auth1 response is invalid. I dont really trust this because i can cut power the to ps3 and itll do the same behavior.
Some other observations...
If i short diag to ground, the red led indicator light doesnt come on.
Im using this product
IZOKEE CP2102 Module UB TTL 5 PIN Serial Connector (amazon)
I'd fault the product but there is a review on there that stated they used it to connect to their ps3 to retrieve a syscon error, so i have my doubts this is the problem.
Rather than spend weeks diagnosing, I figured maybe someone here could notate what I am doing wrong.
Currently I have TX and RX connected only. I alternate them in hopes for a different result, but its always the same. The lack of the red led indicator shorting diag to ground is also suspect.
I've ordered another UART usb connector from one of the posts on this site but I have my doubts itll change anything.
Thanks for your time
