PS2 HDD not found possible blown fuse

Hello people of PSX place.

Hoping someone or everyone can help me out here.

Apologies in advanced if there was a post with the same issue. I honestly tried to search for it.

My PS2(SCPH - 5004) is not detecting the hard drive anymore. The hard drive works perfectly on my PC.
The Network Adapter is a Gamestar one. Yes i know i should go for the official Sony one. However, literally nothing on my side of the world so i had to resort to purchasing the Gamestar one.

When i go into the hddmanager on the ps2 through ulaunchelf HDD is not detected.

I would like to know if I should purchase another Network Adapter? or Can this issue be fixed on the adapter itself? or is it the PS2 that needs to be fixed?

Please please please help. I would love to jam some freekstyle on the console.

Update: I found schematics for my PS2(SCPH - 50004). I found that there are two fuses for the HDD PS09 and PS10. I checked it for continuity and they are fine.

Therefore the issue I was having was due to the Gamestar Adapter.

It sucks that the official NA did not make its way into my country back then. Anyways hope this help someone.
