I'm trying to install Grand Theft Auto IV (GTA IV) on my PS3 Evilnat 4.92.
I have the iso of the game BLES00229, I wanted to make a pkg with CFW2OFW Helper, make backup, ps3exloit resigner etc. but going to this site

I find out that it is not compatible and that there is only one method exclusive to the version NPEB00882.
So I downloaded and installed NPEB00882 pkg and rap file on the PS3.
I followed the guide a bit. I took the BLESS00229 update file and with PKG Repacker I extracted the update pkg BLES00229, I took the EBOOT file and copied and replaced it in the folder NPEB00882\USRDIR as mentioned in the guide.
I then took the common.edat file from the folder NPEB00882\USRDIR and copied it into the "edat" folder of the program "trueancestor edat rebuilder 1.65", then I took the rap file NPEB00882 I downloaded earlier and inserted it into the "rap" folder of the program "edat rebuilder".
I launch the program and click on option 3 as described in the short guide. I take the new common.edat file and paste it into the folder NPEB00882\USRDIR and replace it.
I've done everything, but nothing has changed. The game works, but it's version 1.06 even though I've EBOOT the 1.08 update file. Furthermore, if I check for an update, it shows version 1.09, which officially doesn't exist. It shows version 1.09 even without following all the previous steps.
Did I make a mistake somewhere?
The GTA IV NPEB00882 game works even without doing all those steps of the exclusive method provided by the site, so I don't understand if it makes sense to follow that method, or if I'm doing something wrong.
