Recently I tried to install pkgi and the app did show up in the network section of the xmb. I tried to copy the config txt file using Irishman and after that pkgi stopped showing up in the xmb. Tried booting it directly from the game data and deleting the game data folder and reinstalling pkgi. I even tried a quick format and installing pkgi again but it never shows up in the xmb.
For information I'm using PS3 HEN 4.89.1.
Any help would be appreciated.

Reinstall PKGi.

If you replaced or deleted /dev_hdd0/game/NP00PKGI3/PARAM.SFO the application will stop showing or working.

I didn't replace param.sfo or deleted it. It is still there in game folder. I even tried formatting the HDD and doing the steps but it still didn't work. Thanks for the suggestion though.

If you reinstall PKGi again, the icon should appear.

If the folder is not corrupted, rebuilding the folder should help to make PKGi appear.

If the PKGi is using a category in PARAM.SFO different to HG (e.g. AT, HM or SF) the game will appear in another XMB column.

So far I did re-install pkgi and it did not work.
Then I used a param.sfo editor to edit it as a HG column and after editing it, it still did not appear in the xmb.
Thank you for the idea though, I appreciate it alot.

Editing PARAM.SFO and copying it back to the folder is not enough.
You need to reinstall the PKG with the modified PARAM.SFO or rebuild the database to make it appear on XMB.

If it still doesn't show yet after these steps, then something is wrong in your XMB and it's better to reinstall your HFW+HEN.

Seems like re-installing the HFW worked. Thank you very much for your support.
