PS2 Help. Save file is in my USB flash drive.

Hi, I'm a new member here. I need help. I have a ps2 phat. sorry i forgot the model. it has fmcb. so far i can play digital ps2 games and no problem. but the other day I thought of playing ps1 games so I read a tutorial on how to play ps1 games using opl. I can play ps1 games well but the problem I have is saving. i found out that the save file is on my usb flash drive where my ps1 games are. i finished resident evil 2 leon and claire and i was about to play scenario 2nd.
My question is, is there a possibility to transfer the save file that is on the usb flash drive going to ps2 memory card?
The only thing I often see on youtube and other websites is, turning a usb flash drive into a ps2 memory card. Thank you in advance.
 
You can place PSX save on PS2 MC but none PSX game will see PS2 MC, nor to see save on it.
What You talking about is not save but virtual memory card. Answer is the same like above.

hi, I understand and unfortunately I can't play the 2nd scenario of RE2. but it's fine. I also found out too late that the save files of the ps1 game are on the usb flash drive. I only found out when I was about to put a new game on the usb flash drive. I thought it was saved on the ps2 MC. thanks for the reply. have a great day. :)
 
You can use a program like MemcardRex to transfer saves from ps2 memory card to Pops VMC. Put in your real MC then copy/paste save to usb. Open up program and store save to temporary memory, then copy to Pops VMC that has the other save. I just copied all my old real saves from PS1 memory cards that are probably 20 years old, a few weeks ago. Great to have backups. Some games like Final Fantasy had 60+ hours of playthrough.

sorry for my late reply. My work schedule has been at night for the past two weeks. I just got back in morning shift this week. is it ok to discuss the unplayable 2nd scenario in this thread or do i need to make a new thread? :smile new:

Since the problem is related to scenario 2 of resident evil 2, in my opinion I suggest that you open a new thread.

Thank you for that information. I will add it to my notes and check the MemcardRex. good thing you still have your ps1 mc. unfortunately mine is gone now. but i still have my ps1 console.
