PS4 Help updating version without Blu-ray driver

Hello everyone,
I have a Sony 4 version 5.55
and I can't update it through Sony because the Blu-ray driver doesn't work.
Is there a way I can get around this and update the version?
I would be happy if it were possible to update to 6.72 or 9.0
I would love to know what the steps are and what needs to be done.
And is it possible in my version?
Because I read here on the forum and saw that it is possible.
I would love to know how to do this.
I would appreciate help on what to do in this situation please.
 
I see you posted about jailbreaking in another thread. how you do so depends on firmware version. look up modded warfare's tutorials on youtube. he'll explain it for which you choose. I've only been on 5.05, and I no longer own the system. if you have a broken bd drive, google pkg-zone. that's lightning mods' site. it has a lot of homebrew stuff on it. search for nobd (no dash), then look at the guide for your firmware. I think yours is compatible.

hi thanks for your help .
I found his guide.
I started doing things in the order listed.
Now I'm in the process of transferring the payload to the Sony 4.
But I get an error when I try to connect to it via Payload.Injector.v3.1
And it doesn't work for me.
I'm attaching a picture of the error here.

I would appreciate help.
I'm stuck in this situation and don't know what to do.

I'm not sure. I've never read over the instructions, because I've never had a ps4 with a broken or missing bd drive. I no longer own a ps4 now. the only payload injector I've used is netcat iirc. you don't need hen to use a payload injector either from what I remember. if you have trouble, I suggest you ask LM himself. he's on the pkg-zone discord server, which you can probably find a link to on his homebrew store or itemzflow github repo page. he's very responsive when people have issues, especially with his own stuff.

it leads to pkg-zone. lightningmods goes by LM on the server. just post in there, and you should get a reply. many high-profile members are on there, including Al Azif.
