I was originally going to post this as a reply to the https://www.psx-place.com/threads/4-93-evilnat-w-cobra-v8-5-cex-pex-d-pex.39743/page-130 thread, but since my account is brand new I had to post here, instead.
I just pulled my old PS3 out of the closet which I put away back when Rebug 3.41 was new. I updated to EVILNAT 4.93 and started getting 80028EA8 errors, and found it was happening to everyone but now that there's an update, I'm still having that error come up for anything internet related.
I've been away from this scene for a long time and I feel like an old man now, so please bear with me lol
The first thing I tried was to re-install the newer update that was just posted, but it wouldn't let me. Then I looked up how to downgrade and enabled the QA flag and it still wouldn't let me (same message on both, stating I was already on the latest), and then I noticed aldostools' post with the PKG file. I installed the PKG, and it seems to be exhibiting the same behavior.
Would the fact that I updated from the much older firmware (and/or the way my files were installed) pose any potential problems here (and if so, what should I be looking for to "clean up")?
I seem to still be able to access the console via FTP but it seems to be cut off from the rest of the internet.
Nevermind; it just asked me to update a game so it must be getting outside the LAN again.
