PS2 help with questions about the original NA Sony HDD adapter

No, the partitions were already in place, I was not installing PS2 games in the HDD. I was installing data and a few PS1 games there by launching the network from uLE (via the L1 key) then starting the "FileZilla" software on the PC with the network address of the PS2 (I'm doing it right now on a Slim and I view the contents of an MC and a USB key connected to the console).

to transfer games over ethernet has this method, maybe this is what he's talking about.
it doesn't use the OPL but it seems to work with it the same.

this tutorial is in portuguese but it seems to work too.

First Thank you for the corrections. I am learning here.
No problem! Don't be sorry! ;)
It was/is updated frequently witch is really nice.

I like the way you advise but I didn't test HDD OSD. I want to set up one of my own PS2 HDDs like that.
Use PFS-BatchKit-Manager for that.
The speed is not fantastic as it does not exceed 2MB/s.
AFAIR it is way slower.

Old stuff... We have better tools, like PFS-BatchKit-Manager or HDL Batch Installer.

At home it's the data write speed I had via FileZilla v3.7.2, I've never gotten faster and rarely less. The PS2 cannot go beyond 100Mb/s on its ETH bus, so data written at 2MB/s is already good through such a rudimentary system...

but by this process can i transfer one or two games at least to confirm the functioning of the NA?
My version of OPL is one of the latest, not sure which one but I know it has MX4SIO support.

Well. I just came back to say...

I have read this thread

https://www.psx-place.com/threads/should-i-use-ps2-homes-opl-daily-build-or-githubs-opl.37510/

This explains why TnA got mad in the first place[emoji28]

I'm really sorry. for my self and lots of other people who made/make this mistake because of google showing at the first page of results of PS2 modding search full of ps2 home pages.
I actually find lots of answers to my questions in mentioned thread. Even those questions I've didn't ask!
Also Am impressed how patiently HWNJ answered questions precisely! HATS OFF.
Now it's time to me rebuild all my knowledge about PS2.

hello guys, forgot to reply to the forum again and thank you for your help, thank you very much.

It was just a divuda, I managed to talk to the seller and he sends me in the format I need (NTFS, FTA32, Exfat etc), should I ask him to format it in NTFS, FAT32 or leave it unallocated?
