HEN 3.02 // All homebrew applications loading black screen.

Hey guys, I'm currently using a CECHH01 model PS3 with firmware 4.87.1 and the latest HEN installer/launcher. HEN installs fine (seemingly), and activates normally. But when I try to launch any version of Multiman, Irisman, Movian, File Browsers, etc. , it just stays at a black screen until I hard reset the PS3. HEN Toolbox installs fine but the webman options load up to a SSL error. Any input on the situation would be greatly appreciated.

Why not just install CFW on it? It's a fat model so it's compatible with it.

I could give it a try, just worried about bricking the console. I just need to be able to load backups because my blu-ray drive stopped reading discs.

I have done the research and have come to the conclusion that CFW would not suit my needs. I still wish to be able to log in to my main PSN account to be able to play my games online (MW2 comes to mind). From what I can see, CFW greatly increases the chances of console/psn ban unless you spoof.

It's very unlikely that it will brick, the toolset nowadays is way more robust and better than it used to be back in the day, you just need to make sure you follow the instructions properly.

*UPDATE* The BluRay drive ribbon cable somehow came undone, I reconnected it and all homebrew apps work now(How it came undone, I'll never know (Still had warranty sticker)
