PS3HEN HEN does not enable, even after I did everything right.

The process I did with installing PS3HEN is the following:
  1. I formatted my USB drive to FAT32.
  2. I renamed the latest HHHFW file to UPDATE.PUP.
  3. I put the latest HHHFW in its proper folder in the USB drive.
  4. I extracted the release files to the root of the USB drive.
  5. I inserted the USB drive to the right port of the Super Slim PS3.
  6. I installed the HHHFW...
  7. ...twice.
  8. I used the HAN installer in the PS3Xploit website. (The USB drive was untouched from the previous steps.)
  9. I power-cycled the PS3 using the power button.
  10. I downloaded the latest HDD HEN PKG package from the PS3Xploit website to the root of my USB drive.
  11. I activated HAN. That worked.
  12. I tried to install the HDD HEN PKG package with the PKG installer. That did not work.
  13. I turned off the PS3 using the power button.
  14. I removed then reinserted the USB drive in the same place.
  15. I turned on the PS3 using the power button.
  16. I successfully installed the HDD HEN PKG.
  17. I power-cycled the PS3 with the power button.
  18. I tried to Enable HEN. That did not work.
The problem is that, no matter how many times I Enabled HEN after power-cycling the PS3 (through both soft rebbots and hard reboots using every option available), HEN never enables. I think I tried about a total of 70 times...

Additional considerations:
  • The stackframe.bin and PS3HEN.BIN files are in the root of the USB drive that I used.
  • I mounted flash during the install process.
  • I tried rebooting by turning off the PS3 through the menu item and turning on the system using the PS button on the controller. That did not work.
  • Ever since I installed the latest HEN, the Hybrid Firmware Tools submenu item does not appear in the Network menu... or anywhere.
  • I already activated my PS3 through the PSN.

@Helmed Armour

I notice you didnt mention activating your console, needs to be done before activating HAN support files.

1. Login to your PSN account on your PS3
2. Scroll to the right of xmb and select 'Account Management' under PSN.
3. Select 'Activate/Deactivate System'
4. Select 'Games'
5. Your Ps3 has now been activated.

I also noticed you didnt mention flash mounting either..

Nor have you mentioned which PS3 you have.

You really need to take your time and go through the guide 1 step at a time.

When installing HEN, did you mount dev_flah?

You have installed the HDD pkg so why do you need stackframe.bin and PS3HEN.bin in USB? You sure you haven't installed the DEV USB version. If so kindly re-install HEN_HDD pkg (Don't forget to mount dev_blind as dev_flash and enable HAN)

I think the OP's issue is that he failed to install HEN HDD pkg and ended up installing USB pkg later and keeps trying to enable HEN from XMB (If XML was replaced somehow) instead of the web host which reads files from USB.

then he must check stackframe and PS3HEN bins there is something wrong with him doin the process i guess
I think same cuz he also mention having the stackframe.bin in usb so could be that he has the USB version installed. He should probably reinstall HEN..

First off: thank you all.

Second off: I should clarify a few things:
  • @SteveGW, I already mentioned that I activated my console and mounted flash.
  • @Itroublve Hacker and @Joonie, I kept installing the HDD version. I just stored that stuff in the USB port just in case.
Third off: I found my problem, appreciations of HeroinPigeon from Reddit. I installed the latest HDD apk again, but, this time, I got the apk from the Developer's package. Everything worked now.
