PS3 HEN homebrew information

Can someone explain to me how HEN homebrew works?

I am just looking for some information on how homebrew apps work with HEN and how to know which ones to install. I tried the HENbrew, but I got an error code of "80710A06."

Can anyone point me to where I can read up on some information about which app will work with HEN? YouTube videos on how to get rid of the error code don't help me as my time is set right.

Error 80710A06 points towards a DNS/Internet connection issue. It doesn't seem related to HEN.

Can you use the web browser without activating HEN?.

Try using a URL with http, not https..
Iirc the A06 error is SSL certificate related.

webMAN MOD also has a nice list of homebrew apps that you can download directly from the XMB, I tested it today and it's working as intended. Otherwise just download pkgs directly from brewology https://store.brewology.com/homebrew.php?lang=
