PS3HEN HEN not enabling

As the title says HEN simply doesnt enable.
So far ive tried reformatting my hdd to see if it would change anything and it didnt (i had to anyway cause i kept getting a message saying that the hdd needs to reformatted), using my previous hdd to see if HEN would enable and it didnt (i didnt had any problems with my previous hdd in the past when it came to enabling HEN other than the ocassional crashes when trying to enable but those dissapeared over time), using an offline installer with flash memory set as storage. What seems to make HEN eventually enable is installing the signed installer pkg then restarting the ps3.
My firmware version used to be 4.90 but i updated to 4.91 thinking it would fix anything and my HEN is 3.3.0
Is this a sign that my super slim is coming at an end?
Ive been trying to fix this for almost a week, any assistance would be appreciated.
 
HFW was installed and installed it 2 times from recovery mode.
I wouldnt be here if HFW was installed.

Are you saying that you run the HEN installer and it starts to install and fails? Like rebooting too early? The reason I ask that is because a problem was supposed to be fixed in 3.3.0 that deals with installing HEN installer from USB using its "reinstall" package name HENUPD.pkg, only if located on usb000. It was rebooting early in previous versions, but the normal installer was working correctly.

From a clean system, you should be able to use the auto installer from ps3xploit.me and it should download the package. When you press circle, it should start installing the package. When the package has fully unpacked, the ps3 should reboot after showing a message on screen.

Is this where yours is failing and restarting?

If the above method is not working, I would like you to use a tool like socat and we can get a log from the installer. Then we can see where its failing.

I can install HEN just fine no problems initializing and installing. I used multiple installers like imn7's, the auto installer and the alternate installer. The problem comes when i want to enable HEN using the icon from Game column and it doesnt enable.

To get HEN enabled i have to one of these solutions
1.i have to use auto installer to make package manager appear, install the signed installer pkg then a full restart within hybrid firmware tools
2.restore the file system

These are only temporary.
If the ps3 crashes or there s a power outage i have to redo one of them.
 
Try holding R2 down while HEN loads from egg icon. You need an original controller. This will disable plugins. If HEN loads, then its a plugin issue.

You can also use L2 on HEN launch to disable remapping (probably not the problem in your case)

Can you test this?

You can also go to the HEN auto installer page and run it. It will detect you have HEN installed and it will not reinstall it. Once it says Welcome to PS3HEN, it is running. Try launching a homebrew. If this works, then it means the HEN payload will run.

EDIT: i just noticed you currently use the above method to launch HEN currently, so i assume this does work.

If you want to download socat and get a debug log (need LAN cable), you can use the Auto Installer on ps3xploit.me and it will output logs over UDP.

EDIT2: Example socat command to log to file and view in console

socat -lu stdout udp-recv:18194,reuseaddr | tee socat.log

Do i really need a lan connection betwen my pc and ps3 in order to get the logs?

Edit 1:I also put the signed installer pkg on ps3 s hdd and HEN didnt want to enable after installing the pkg and rebooting.

Edit 2:What do i need the logs for?
From what i can see it s something on ps3 s side with how it handles the files.

An update on my situation

I have found out after a lot of tinkering that HEN actually enables but to an extent.

Trying to enable HEN doesnt give me a notification that HEN has enabled but i can boot irisman just fine, but hybrid fw tools dont appear right after my attempt.
To make hybrid firmware tools appear i had to boot irisman then exit.

Edit 1: Forgot to mention that webman games doesnt appear.

Yes you need a LAN cable to get logs currently.

Putting that package on HDD will not change anything.

The logs will show exactly what is going on while running.

If you try my suggestions, it will narrow down the problem.

Seems like plugins maybe not enabling.
 
Another update on my isssue

It seems that somehow my OEM controller is at fault for this.
Just tried a 2nd OEM controller i have and HEN enabled without issues.
 
It might be the R2 since i used an R2 from a fake controller to replace mine cause the spring broke tried replacing it 2 times and they broke.
I also tried to put pressure on the battery while the controller was disassembled and one of the apps ive had problems with registering the right inputs was irisman, and surprisingly it worked.
When i put back the controller it didnt anymore.
