So I thought it was hdd then I thought maybe a bad plugin but something kept causing my ps3 about 2 hours in to freeze didnt matter if I was in game or on xmb then today I reinstalled hen and just didnt install tool box package and now I have been on for about 4 hours and still no freeze I was wondering if it was because I pressed enable hen tool box before I installed the new one so maybe it glitched it out or something could the dev comment back to verify or if I just install the package will that bring freezing back ( again pressed enable tool box before I installed the new one could it maybe the the old tool box patch to flash before I put the new one on)

Yes but I installed the right hen tool box it's not freezing during the activator its freezing about 2 hours in while playing game or in xmb imma try to reinstall hen without it but I can send videos of what it does when I have it and dont it only freezes when I have it

I already made sure I had the right one I read the big thread on it and I got the right package off of brewolgy it's weird tho it dont effect enabling hen or nothing but after about 2 or 3 hours of either idol or playing a game it locks up maybe bad plugin or something? Idk I have been messing with it for a few days now and the only thing to get it to stop was to remove tool box
 
Well I guess anything is possible while on the XMB but not sure about how this could effect anything during a game. I do not use HEN myself anymore and when was testing I never experienced that freeze.

Ik its strange mine is different from everyone else's so I enable hen that goes good I have psn patch, multiman, wegman, and mana gunz I dont think any of these mess with each other do they? I was going threw hdd and found some sman files are those supposed to be there if I have webman

It might not be tool box but when I removed it it stopped but it's weird my hdd is good and it's not over heating it's just like 2 hours in it locks up then I can cut thr play station off and boot it right back and it will run another 2 hours someone said maybe a bad plugin but I deleted most of them except webman and hen
 
Hard to know, there could be some interaction between a plugin and a file HEN Toolbox has changed in theory. If you want to see if its plugin related, You could install HEN Toolbox, then reboot and have a blank boot_plugins.txt file on usb000 when enabling HEN. This txt file will stop ALL custom plugins from loading. Then you could use managunz to mount your game and see if it still freezes.

There is only one plugin included in HEN Toolbox (videodownloader_plugin.sprx) and it can not run while in game. So this makes me think it must be something else.

I also have retro arch idk what would cause a freeze in games like that it would have to be something running constantly

Yeah, it almost has to be one of the other plugins if its causing issues in game. The videodownloader_plugin.sprx included in HEN Toolbox is a different type of plugin. It does not run all the time and only gets called when you do an operation like toggle a setting in the toolbox, also this plugin can not be called while in game.

In my boot_plugins.txt the only thing in it is webman should hen be in this text file to?
 
No, hen does not need to be in there, but PSN patch should be in there if you want to run it.

Its possible the freeze is related to webMAN MOD, maybe uninstall your current webMAN Mod using the browser command http://127.0.0.1/delete.ps3?uninstall , then reinstall the latest version from https://github.com/aldostools/webMAN-MOD/releases/download/1.47.26/webMAN_MOD_1.47.26_Installer.pkg.

I'm not sure after that. If it's still freezing you could try with the blank boot_plugin.txt on usb or hdd for a while to see if the issue stops.

Yeah, there have been a lot of updates since then. One update just today.

Get the latest .26 pkg and try that.

Yes, All recent versions of webMAN MOD support HEN.

Normally you do not need to uninstall webMAN MOD when updating, so you can try just install the new version over the top if you want.

Note: In case you are not familiar with the process, There are 2 steps to updating/installing webMAN Mod unlike apps such as Managunz.


1. Install the pkg by pressing X on it in package manager:

2. Run the installer application by pressing X on it on the XMB in the game category:

After you have ran the installer application once and the console has rebooted you can remove the installer app from the XMB, its not required for webMAN MOD to work.
