As anticipated in june the first port to PS2 of a Retroguru game has been released.

You can download the PS2 zip file on the Retroguru site in the Hermes page: https://www.retroguru.com/hermes/

The game is available in two format, an ELF file that you can run with your favourite elf launcher, and an ISO file that runs with OPL or you can burnt on a CD to be played on a PS2 with a modchip.

Other games are under testing and will be released in september.

Thank you.

Do someone has feedbacks on the game? Works fine on your PS2? Do you like the save icon?

I have other 4 Retroguru games for ps2 under testing and I need feedbacks to do things better and better

I have in plans to check it. Does it support saves on HDD or only standard MC saving system is implemented?

Probably only memory card -> I haven't notice any option to change that in options.

You will need ~41 KiB free space.

There is only the mc0 save feature. I will consider other options (in case we can update the build), but I like simple things.

I'm looking at freeDVDBoot evolutions, because it would be great to produce a DVD with a collection of Retroguru games for the PS2.

I don't understand this game mechanics. What's is the goal? To catch chicken (which looks like impossible task)? And character must... defecate in cycles or loose? WTF? ;p

I experienced problems with controls (globally, in menu and in gameplay). Sometimes pressing direction acting like broken d-pad/analogue stick (You know, like You push once but it's stay "pushed" until You press another direction). Random. But I'm not sure if my rapport could be valuable because indeed I have broken DS2, however I never encounter such thing in other apps and games (not with d-pad, I keep my analogues in one position to avoid that).

Free DVD Boot probably will never covering up all models in single disc. But You can already make 100% working DVD for all Slims.

Well, catching a chicken is not easy, but if you continue playing eventually you'll get it. About corporal needs during the game... try to eat a lot of food not doing it in real life and tell me what happens ;-)

Thank you for reporting ths problem. I didn't experience it in my test, but I'll try with other controllers. If I find a problem I'll fix it and update the release

I want to believe one day it will handle every existing FW. Supporting all the slim models is already good, I only hope they will solve the menu language limitation soon.

Menu-language is rather hard to solve for the old vulnerability (due to - most of it - being offset-dependent afterwards) and the new vulnerability is only applicable on FATs (up to 2.13)!

However... A Hybrid-Disc for all PS2s MIGHT be possible!
