Hey guys been a while

Damn bro been wondering when we would cross paths again haha. Glad to have you back. I just realized it is like 10 years since we met at that site that shall not be named haha. Damn time flies. Yo, you ever got back into Dreamcast? They are about to make huge breakthrough running PSX games on the retail Bleemcast discs we kinda figured out memory card and controller protections are preventing lots of games from running, but my friend Ian Micheal has been busting his ass already tested 800 of the PSX games library and made some interesting discoveries. But got a guy working on removing protections from Bleem so we can see that sweet, sweet hardware rendered PSX game library very compatible on the Dreamcast. If games were hacked to remove save and controller protections more would work.

We figured out that beta versions of games don't have any such protections often times, so while Spyro retail does not load past the memory card check the beta fully works as well as on PSX, but even beta version was missing lots of audio. However it renders amazingly.

Good to see old users hang around, many just disappeared. I myself don't have much interest and time in games & scene news these days. But i keep up with the place because i like it and i have some good memories with stuff i learned here. So happy to see you back.

Nah man I just had to make some serious changes in my life. I just celebrated 3 years clean. I had to find out who I was after 20 years of drug use. Now at a job making good money.

But I just told myself I would change everything in my life for a while. Anyhow I have missed tinkering and this place, happy to be back.

I've been clean (off alcohol) for about three and a half years. I pretty much had to after my court hearing for disability. I'm glad though, considering I didn't like the way it made me feel anymore (tired, angry, etc.). I've tried smoking pot, since it's legal in my state (at least for medicinal purposes), but I don't smoke much at all.
 
oh man, I also have missed you. afterall you were the only one fiddling with 4.21 just like me, also using cu3 dongle, lol. I know cu3 is obsolete now having Artemis, but well, I will not leave this sinking ship, lol.

I know you have/had a DECR-1000 in past (wasn't it Joonie's?) and I envied you back then, but now I am also a proud owner of a 1000A as well as having even a 1400A, so I have fulfilled one of my dreams I had, since I have seen pictures from it :D

Well thanks man and I'm ashamed of what I did but proud of how far I have come. It was heroin/coke and I did 18 months locked up. Just celebrated 3 years and finally have a clean license and such. I am a drug and alcohol counselor to help others in my ship. While it sucked it was worth it and helped me make the hard choice to clean myself up. Feels amazing being in charge of my life. Oh and if you still have a 4.21 CFW with a current Cobra I would be grateful bid you could share. Heck the FTP speed increase alone is enough to stay on 4.21
 
uh, I see. wouldn't have thought something like this from you, but then, we had not that much contact. glad you have realized (for) yourself to make changes, where others have problems, or don't even get it.

when I have learned sth from life, that is don't regret anything and also don't feel ashamed for anything about yourself (still have to learn more about it honestly)

anyways, about cobra, I have added of course everything interesting and useful to 4.21, but then I don't like all latest developed features and not using them. besides, I have all binaries hard-patched, so to have minimal active cobra stuff running, which is to me the better choice without any disadvantage. btw, I even have added now cex2dex (target and kernel) to xai_plugin for Rebug, so now toolbox is only needed for otheros stuff for me.

(of course I can make you another personal version, but no guarantee and still no tests with nand, so better to make tests with attached flasher in this case, but I think I don't need to tell you this)

Oh neither did I myself. It was just pain meds I was seriously over prescribed. Unfortunately I thought I could manage. But I couldn't so I decided to make the changes in my life. The US was all to happy to over prescribe Oxycontin. Had to have back surgery and was given them. Unfortunately it took control of my life. And the meds they use to ween someone off have worse side effects.

oops, I see. a classic one I would say. conrats you have made your way, cause I have experienced almost only negative examples because of similar situations

tbh, (hope I do not regret it to post about) two years ago, I was living in a special facility, for drug addicted or mentally ill people (this was all voluntary because of no other place to be) and I was "having lot of fun" I can say and also have tried almost everything (no lie!), but my luck I am not really addicted to anything and all these things I have seen and learned about such things won't let me. though, there are other things that can seriously destroy me, lol
 
well, I consider @atreyu187 and @Coro to be my two best friends in the ps3 scene, so I'd be very worried if something happened to either of them. atreyu, it worried me when your old phone number went to someone else. that was several years ago during your addiction. when the person said I had the wrong number, I got worried. I'm very glad you made it through your addiction problems. I forgot how I got your new number unless you texted me at some point. we may have gotten to know each other with all the vita stuff, but we became really good close through both of our addictions. we understood each other very well.

Nope still here and while not proud of what I did it has lead me being able to help others with their problems. I enjoy being a counselor.
