.This official HFW 4.89.1 release was created by @littlebalup and has been tested over many consoles and situations. Please be aware of several "Unofficial" HFW 4.89 builds that are on the internet. Some of them may work, and some of them are known to have problems.
HFW, by its very nature is a modified version of original OFW, that by itself can be unstable or have unexpected results in some situations, due to the system files (sprx) replaced with older version during the creation process. HFW is meant to be accompanied by PS3HEN, which when fully installed will restore HFW back to a stable OFW state (system sprx), and also includes any other fixes needed.
The official HFW 4.89.1 has a EULA date of May 11, 2022 and an MD5 of 1746FD1A7BA9F6DBB9428C9C64B54B0A
This firmware has been tested with PS3HEN 3.1.0

I can keep everyone up to date through here and also I have been updating the alert box on ps3xploit.me to show the current situation.
Basically it is currently out of my hands. If for some reason we cannot get it back online in the foreseeable future, we will have to take an alternate path.
I do have a copy of the latest source code and files, but since this is not my project, I cannot distribute it.
Unfortunately it really just comes down to bguerville being the sole developer of the toolset, and without his blessing, the code will remain private. Is there anything at all we could do at all to help? I recently bought a PS3 to install CFW and you guys are my only hopeI've been reading around a lot though and I know you mentioned the main developer, bguerville, has been unavailable for what looks like a while now
( Maybe if you need more funding and you can think of an estimate or something like a goal I'd absolutely love to donate and go around to all the PS3-Hombrew scenes and spread the news. I'm sure the community could come together <3
I also know, and really respect/appreciate, the work you guys have been putting in with all your other domains getting shutdown but still coming back with ps3xploit.me. I've been keeping an eye on it everyday for any kind of changes so please if you can think of anything I'll contribute spread the news.

I know he talked about making it open source at some point, using the current flash exploit, but after the stealing of the obfuscated code and redistribution by an unknown person(s), I'm not sure of his position on that.
At this point, it is a waiting game. I have been trying to contact him, but he is currently unavailable. The last message I received said he will try to get it back online but has some family stuff to take care of right now.
Is this somehow related to the strict list of cipher suites they enforce? I couldn't find any domain in their netblock that would support any of the cipher suites required for PS3's old browser. Seems like security and anonymity of the transfers are their priorities. Do you know if they offer downgrades to the customers?… having a multitude of problems from the new hosting.
Looking at the amount of outdated or modified clones out there, I don't think it's the best idea to fully release the code to the public. Even if it was trivial to set it up locally, users still go for the "single click" solutions - more like insta brick as of now. Perhaps selecting a few trusted members from the community that would maintain always up to date mirrors of the original code is the safer way to go? Something like the saying "less is more"?... but after the stealing of the obfuscated code and redistribution by an unknown person(s), I'm not sure of his position on that.
Yes, the issue with the ssl cert was one of the issues I forgot to mention. Is this somehow related to the strict list of cipher suites they enforce? Tbh Bguerville deserves some time off at this point more than anyone. I'm not sure if there's anyone who contributed to the jailbreak research more than him in recent years. I hope that some of the pressure will be lifted off him (and the rest of the team, of course) once there are alternative solutions utilizing PS3HEN as an entry point. It's somewhat surprising to me that it was possible to maintain this for so many years just as a single person.
Try http://ps3xploit.meHello everyone,
I have an old fatty PS3 and installed HEN 4.89.1. on it. While attending the browser I get: Error 80710A06. Is there any chance to avoid this error? I tried everything for now: new and different DNS, Exposed Host for ma Ps3, reset on factory settings, setting date and time, new psn account and so on.
Interesting point: Internet is available over third party apps like Amazon/PSN itself, even ggoel shows the first search results but klicking the links will end in that error...
I dont really have an idea.
For now there is no possibility to downgrade and go to CFW from 4.89.1. - correct?
Edit: I cann access the amazon website via browser but not ps3xploit.me or other websites (as far as I know for now)
Try http://ps3xploit.me
