Hi everyone! I'm Jake Tails.
It's a pleasure to be here in this community, which is brimming with interesting developers and a hub for the various modding and coding scenes. I was born in 1985, but I honestly took my first steps in 1992 on a PC. I've owned consoles in the years since: MegaDrive, PS1, PS2, etc.
I was really obsessed with the PS2; in fact, in 2005, I was one of the few in my area (Pisa, Italy) to have a Broadband Adapter with a hard drive, HDLoader, and several backup copies loaded onto it...
I was envied by my peers and even by the younger ones...
I remember the afternoons in 2003 spent playing Final Fantasy X or GTA Vice City... really good times...
Now I've wanted to get my PS2 back and noticed that a lot has changed in terms of modding: HDLoader is no longer used, but rather OPL and PSBBN (the latter more recent, obviously). I modified the Broadband Adapter to accept SATA hard drives and load everything directly from the hard drive (which was impossible at the time, I had FreeMCBoot in its still experimental hybrid version :-D).
Anyway, nostalgic for the good old days, I've thrown myself back into this world, which is still so active and where sensational discoveries (like CosmicScale) are being made even after so many years.
For now, I'll say goodbye and hope to contribute and lend a hand to this community, now and in the future.
Hello again everyone!

Hi, fellow "newbie" here, yeah the nostalgia to these old great times with video games and the old modding tools. I especially enjoy reading how the old scene came up with stuff or new ways to hack these systems are intresting. I dint own a broadband adapter at first but I do now, wish they where replicated somehow new, only the harddisk portion sadly it seems.
