I have a 5000 model that wasn't turning on at all (no signs of life, no leds), so i bought and installed an after market power supply (not original ) and now it's working. Could those lines be caused by a power issue within the PSU? I've sprayed some contact cleaner in the video port without any kind improvement. I've tried 2 different power chords just to be sure, and even tried "flipping" the power cable, same result. The issue must be on the motherboard or within the power supply. I also have a 3000 that i've used to test the cables with 3 different monitors, and the picture is fine, no lines at all.
