I just received a B01 that was tagged as faulty. Warranty sticker gone, original tape inside gone. I thought for sure somebody had mangled it with a heatgun, but the factory white paste was still on there and super dry, like chalk. There was some dust around the fan shroud, but nothing serious. I repasted and installed CFW and immediately checked syscon. Has a bunch of 1004 and 1103 errors sporadically in 2009, came back alive in 2012 with a 1001, and then asleep until waking up again in 2024 with 1004/1103. The kicker is the total runtime according to both webman and ps3toolset is just under 2 days???? How is that even possible given the state of the thermal compound and dust inside?
