How can i change default icon of HEN on my home screen?

think something else may be wrong on your end. the raf will not affect the system in any way, even if the raf was deleted from the flash or corrupted.

I dont know what just happened but i was struggling with it for 3 hours (i have really just replaced the coldboot nothing more). Reinstalling HEN did not help (i have even tried rebuilding database, file system,removing irishman, multiman, webmanmod- i did not have anyo other homebrews) but i have noticed that if i left HEN toolbox disabled after HEN reinstall then i was able to enable HEN without problem. but after HEN toolbox activation it started freezing. So i have tried reinstalling HEN toolbox and now i seems working again. strange :S

Can you tell us in details how you did it and where did you get the files from?

Word of advice: think twice before installing random .pkg, .sprx, or any other files from unknown sources.

you might end up with a console brick, corrupt data, etc.

The way i did it is i made my own in Photoshop. I only used the software to convert picture that i made for boot, but hen icon is just a PNG that i made.

Maybe, but just maybe you deleted some important file/s by accident or downloaded (if you downloaded) a corrupted file, i don't know, or installed something.

I have downloaded the original coldboot.raf file from http://www.homebrewstore.altervista.org/ i put it on USB drive and copied through file manager of Irisman 4.88 into folder dev_rewrite/vsh/resource/coldboot.raf. i have practically replaced the hen style coldboot with the original one (it was not asking for confirmation of replacement of existing file but Irisman may not ask it anyway). after rebooting the system i saw the original coldboot (so it has changed) but since this procedure the system was always freezing during enabling hen (i am sure about it that i did not do anything else because i never do experiments on my system, this was the only one). I tried at least 4 times with no luck. i have reinstalled hen, nothing. i have rebuilt database/restored the file system (i read on this forum that in some cases it solved the freezing issue in older 2.x version hen) but nothing changed. then i have reinstalled hen toolbox. since that it is working.
I have to add that i had only irisman, multiman, webmanmod, prepISO and hen toolbox installed nothing more. After uninstalling all of them (except hen toolbox because it does not have the classic uninstall menu) the problem was still present (so it was not compatibility issue/interference). only the reinstall of hen toolbox solved the issue. now i will install only what i truly need and thats irisman. Or maybe i try to replace coldboot again but now i am too lazy to experiment just to freeze my system again.

well, as I mentioned, you could even delete the coldboot.raf and the system wouldn't freeze anywhere. I even tried hexing in a colored coldboot into a normal, coldboot.raf, and the image came up garbled (no freeze or anything). not sure what happened on your end, but I don't use hen, so I don't know if you encountered a bug of some sort or if something got messed up somehow.

A Quick Question - i really like the two icons from the first post and replacing the original hen icons was easy. But whenever i turn on my ps3 it only shows the green hen icon although hen isn't enabled. Any ideas?

Actually i did it.... just small correction.

I couldn't copy them to /dev_flash/
instead, i copied them in /dev_rewrite/
same path as dev_flash (/dev_rewrite/vsh/resource/explore/icon/),
and didn't need to enable anything...and it worked.
Now i have a custom Hen icon.

I replaced it with your custom icons. They're beautiful. Thank you. But What hen disabled is for? Shouldn't it change to this icon when hen is enabled?
I think if it changes you know hen is already enabled so you accidentally don't select it.
