I'm trying to find out if I can see if I have the 40nm or 90nm rsx without opening it and without installing cfw.
from everything I read it's apparently possible through the ps3toolset, which of course I tried but it's currently down.
I'm not willing to open it myself as I have little to no knowledge how to and would be annoyed if I did something wrong which permanently damaged my console.
I have the PAL backwards compatible console cech03 is it? I'm unsure without checking. PS2 software emulation of that I'm sure.
I'm just trying to find out if it's been Frankenstein'd and nothing more. I bought it new, and have a vague memory of Sony repairing it so I'm just trying to find out if I got lucky with it?
