I'm sorry to disturb you.
Well, I know the most convenient approach to restore DVD playback function is installing the DVD Player Modification (It is running well), but I'm hardly get used to the mis-matched control logic (Circle for cancel rather than confirm). So I start this thread and ask for your help.
Can I re-sign the kelf of ROM DVDELF so that I can use it as a DVD Update by some tools/methods?
Or, if it is possible to reverse the control of Circle and Cross in the DVD Player Modification?
Is there any other method to update the DVD Player?
More information:
The PS2 model is SCPH-50009, no modchip installed.
The stock DVD Player version is 3.02C.
After mechapwn installed, the console report itself as DTL-H50009.
Have tried: Decrypted and encrypted the stock DVDELF via kelftool and replaced the dvdplayer.elf of DVD Player Modification, and copied the whole BCEXEC-DVDPLAYER to memory card where FMCB installed. Also tried using kelfTwinSigner with osdmain of FMCB. To both cases, the DVD Player failed to start up with an error: "DVD 播放器未设定,无法启动。(DVD Player was not setup, unable to start up)"
