PS3 How do I add lots of PSN Icons?

As the title suggests, I've been having issues adding lots of PSN icons to my PS3.

As of now I have about 3 different icon packs, one 3000, 4000, and a 6000 icon pack.

I've tried lots of methods to try and get this to work over the past few hours, but nothing seems to work consistently.

Copying over all of the icons at once doesn't seem to do anything, and all I'm left with are a bunch of "Missing image" icons.

I've also tried copying them over in batches via FTP, in both 200 and 500 icon increments. It seems to work better this way, but eventually when scrolling through the icons they'll all show up as "missing image" after a while, and I've even had my system freeze when scrolling through them.

I'm not really sure what to do since I want to have a sizable number of icons on my PS3 in case the store goes down and a majority of them become unavailable because there are a lot of them that I really like, but I'm not sure if I'm doing this the right way.

If anyone has any tips or tricks as to how I can do this properly, I would greatly appreciate it!
 
I think psn icons are in an rco. I don't remember which one. they used to be a part of the icontex.qrc, which is part of the main icons, but it's now currently in an rco.
 
What do you mean by icons? Which exactly, from where? I assuming games icons (ICON0.PNG), right? So what you expecting from them putting on HDD because I don't get it - the purpose and behavior expectations.

What do you mean by "store goes down"?. The PS Store is not going anywhere and certainly doesn't use any external icons.

This is fishy.

What I'm referring to are Playstation Network user icons, the ones you can buy from the PSN store and set on your PSN account for others to see. I just assumed that others would know what I was talking about.

Yeah, I wasn't thinking when I said this. Of course, the PSN store isn't going to go down, but what I meant to say is that since Profile icons for PSN are gradually being phased out (you can't get them on PS5 I believe, and they've been removed from the PS4 store unless you specifically search for them), I want to make sure I have a personal archive of as many of them as possible so that I can customize my PSN profile with them.

Once again my bad, I wasn't referring to the actual XMB icons, I was referring to the PSN icons that are purchasable from the PSN store, which are .edat files.
