In Brazil, it will cost about US$ 900,00 (BRL 4500,00) for digital version and US$ 1000,00 (BRL 5000,00) for "the complete" version.

We got prices similar to rest of EU in shops this time. 515e for Disc version. and 415e for digital, and those are official prices for Poland afaik. But on allegro (ebay a like), people already selling them for 630e - 830e.

Well it was confirmed to have PvP and PvE all over again,im sure ill be DS3 style,like no matter your level you could always invade or do a jolly,but you would be at the same level of parity as the host.

Something is throwing me off the remake,maybe is the gameplay,is different than i remember it,but who cares, but perhaps the more throw off thing is the 79.99€ price tag, not even Shadow of the Colossus charged that much, and it was a "Remake" too, im sure Story wise Demon's Souls will be unchanged, bad move from Sony to charge 80€ for it, so ill wait.

The demo they showed is almost perfect for my tastes. The only thing which does not fully convince me is the changing of voices. When you take damage/die, the voices were a trademark on all souls games (I seems to remember those kind of voices were there since King's Filed).
They were very original and eerie, really appropriate for the game atmosphere and story. Same about enemies voices.

In the remake they switch to generic voices you can hear in any war game.

Price doubled. I guess it have to do with your living prices, 1000$ in Brasil is like 500$ in U.S. (or 500 euro here in Europe), right?

I tried to preorder one, but they sold out before I could. it's probably a good thing. just look at my floor:

I wouldn't have had room. all of that stuff has to be plugged/unplugged in the same hdmi and most with the same power cable. plus, with disability, I can't really afford it. I just don't have a lot of will power. lol

Guys. I have been very busy lately so couldn't keep up.

Anyway, this is my take on PS5 pricing. PS5 Digital is OVERPRICED. I wouldn't recommend it even for $299 unless you have plenty of money and you are a Sony patriot willing to giving regular taxes to the company.

If you look carefully, you are NOT really buying the hardware, you are just renting it from Sony as company will own your a$$ forever.

1. Its a digital only console & you will be fully dependent on Sony's PSN ecosystem. Sony decides the price & you pay for it. And i heard that games will be prices as high as $70. You will have no option other than paying Sony.

2. You will be cut off from secondary market, second hand games, game rentals, retail discounts, third party retailer offers etc etc on PS5 games. Only option to play game on Digital version will be buying from PSN network.

3. Console is in early stages and good next gen games takes time to develop & materialize. So collectible titles won't come any time soon that are worth keeping & have a lot of replay value (that's a matter of personal opinion). If you have PS5 BD edition, you can buy second hand PS5 games in just few months and as low as half the price. Also many options in game rentals and exchanges with your friends on BD discs.

4. If you have a unified account for consoles and also your digital PS5, if you piss of Sony in anyway (bad behavior, possible hacking on some other console etc) then Sony can just turn off the switch and your digital PS5 will be a brick. Without a BD drive & Sony banning your from its network, your PS5 is worth nothing. As i said, you are just renting the console & Sony owns it. We still don't know how Sony's digital ecosystem will work. But this is uncharted territory & i don't recommend getting trapped in it.

5. With PS5 digital edition, all your hard copy PS4 BD games are useless. And there is a very extensive & affordable secondary market for used PS4 BD titles which you should not miss. PS4 has reached the end of its life and it has many collectibles. You NEED PS5 BD Drive edition if you want to own & collect all the last generation physical media. Also i hope that PS4 games will have a better performance on PS5 so playing PS4 games on PS5 is good option to keep.

6. These next gen consoles will have water tight security & encryption. I don't think they will be jailbroken anytime soon (if ever). With Digital edition, Sony will have full control over your system & not worth buying such hardware.



If you have money. Then buy BD drive edition. Forget about $100 difference. In medium & long run, BD drive edition will practically be CHEAPER & more useful than digital only version.


From developers point of view, buy PS5 BD edition and put it in deep freeze for possible exploit. As you know that exploits emerge in firmwares & Sony is always ahead in patching it with successive firmware updates. So if you have $500 & nothing to do with it. Buy a digital edition & put it in deep freeze. I am sure many hackers & developers will do this very thing.



PS - By the way, i have been hearing that there are Quality control issues with many electronics manufacturing in China. This because of supply chain disruption due to Covid-19. This is not just electronics, but also on all kinds of hardware & equipment. Consoles have 100s of bits & bobs. I hope Sony has done everything to preserve the quality control.
