PSN games installed from PS store are stored in /dev_hdd0/game
The folder name typically is the title id of the game (e.g. /dev_hdd0/game/NPUB12345). Some games use a suffix like NPUB12345_INSTALL, NPUB12345_DATA, etc.
You can use any file manager like multiMAN, IRISMAN, ManaGunZ, webMAN, etc. to copy the folder to USB formatted in FAT32.
If the game doesn't contain files larger than 4GB the game can be played from the external USB if you copy the game to the folder GAMEI and use webMAN to scan & mount that folder.
Another method is download the PKG from PS store and extract the PKG on the PC, then move the extracted folder to GAMEI.
e.g. X:\GAMEI\NPUB12345
If the game is already installed on XMB, pressing SELECT+SQUARE the folder /dev_hdd0/game is redirected to /dev_usb000/GAMEI
This must be done on each boot ? I remember toggling the external game data on HEN but at reboot i had to repeat it .If the game is already installed on XMB, pressing SELECT+SQUARE the folder /dev_hdd0/game is redirected to /dev_usb000/GAMEI
its not na answer for my question
it's not working
I copied 2 selected games (<3GB) and moved them to GAMEI, refresh multiman=nothing, refresh webman=nothing, still don't see games
That's the thing - just like HEN itself needs activating on each boot, some features will not carry over between sessions and so will need to be re-applied. On CFW which is automatically booted into, all changes made will be preserved between power cycles. This must be done on each boot ? I remember toggling the external game data on HEN but at reboot i had to repeat it .
If you copied the games folders from /dev_hdd0/game to /dev_usb000/GAMEI, they should appear listed on webMAN MOD
It is required that you mark the option GAMEI in /setup.ps3 then save the settings and refresh the XML - game list.
The /dev_usb000/GAMEI should contain PARAM.SFO, ICON0.PNG and EBOOT.BIN in paths like this:
/dev_usb000/GAMEI/NPUB12345/ICON0.PNG
/dev_usb000/GAMEI/NPUB12345/PARAM.SFO
/dev_usb000/GAMEI/NPUB12345/USRDIR/EBOOT.BIN
