PS3HEN How to enable HEN without no PS3 internet access

I have a PS3 super slim which runs on 4.82, because of a busted wifi/Bluetooth board, I cannot access the browser for HEN installation. Due to COVID restrictions in my country I cannot also buy an ethernet cable for more than a month. I however have internet access on my laptop, and got 4.88 hfw ready on my FAT32 USB. Would be really great if someone can help out, been stuck in dorm room for months

If you don't have the PS3 already jailbroken with at least HAN, you really need to wait.

When you can have an Ethernet cable, you need to install an older version of HEN. Not if it's a good idea or if it's too unstable. If it is, HAN is also an option (stable on all versions - though much more limited). But let someone tell you if it's unstable on 4.82 or not. I believe the last version of HEN to work with 4.82 is 2.4.0, so that's the one you need to install, not the most recent, which is not compatible with 4.82 - use this link here: http://**ps3xploit.com >Domain no L...me =new)/hen/release/PS3HEN_2.4.0_4.82_FW.zip. You'll have to host the files on your PC to install that version. If you use the site, you'll be installing the newest version.

the readme says that this file does not exist, but it downloads still...PS3HEN 3.0.0 for 4.82

Weird. So that's the "secret" newest HEN version for 4.82. Interesting! haha

Don't update because you'll be stuck in a loop . You can do the exploit directly on 4.82 OFW . Just use you laptop to share the wi-fi connection with something like https://www.connectify.me . Or use you phone or a friend's phone .

I'll be getting an ethernet cable soon. Would you still not recommend updating to 4.88 hfw?

Or is it oay if i upgrade to 4.88 officially and then install 4.88 hfw? i really don't know how it all works ngl
